It was sheer joy to cycle the “Lunga Via dei Dolomiti” and be able to stay in one of the stations! And oh, what a beautiful conversion job Federico and Cecilia have done with “Alla Stazion”! I had the top floor room with the exposed beams, electric Velux skylights. This small studio apartment has been very carefully designed, making the best use of the available space, and the contrast of the old building, wood beams and ultra modern fittings is just gorgeous. At dawn there was the most wonderful view of the first pink light of the sun on the Dolomites, peaking above the nearby hills. The food is modern but wholesome local cuisine, beautifully prepared. It’s just wonderful to see a young couple put so much energy into this beautiful modern inn. Absolutely worth making a journey...

Letzten Sommer auf meiner Bikepacking-Tour wurde ich von soviel Charme Empfangen, dass ich mich unmittelbar wohl fühlte. Eine herzliche Familie kümmert sich genau wie das wundervolle Personal in toller und kommunikativer Atmosphäre. Nach Ankunft mit kühlem Getränk zum Sonnenuntergang ging es auf‘s gemütliche und moderne Zimmer. Zum Abendessen wurde ich erneut überrascht. Vor- sowie Nachspeise waren sehr lecker, einzig das Dessert war - ok und überzeugte mich nicht gänzlich. Das schmälert jedoch in keiner Weise den Gesamteindruck. Mein persönliches Tasting durch Secco und Grappa war der krönende Abschluss.

So ging es am nächsten Tag erholt auf die Vorletzte von 11 Etappen.

Bin ich in der Nähe, komme ich unbedingt wieder.

Last summer on my bikepacking tour I was received by so much charm that I felt immediately at home. A warm family cares just like the wonderful staff in great and communicative atmosphere. After arriving with a cool drink at sunset, I went to the cozy and modern room. For dinner I was surprised again. The starters and main course were very tasty, only the dessert was - ok and did not convince me completely. However, this in no way diminishes the overall impression. My personal tasting by Secco and Grappa was the crowning conclusion.

So it went for me the next day recovered on the penultimate of 11 stages.
