It was OK as the beds were comfortable and there was sufficient room. There was also a small kitchen that would be handy. Unfortunately the rooms were outdated and there was a slight smell. Also, the throws were quite crusty, and some of the wallpaper had peeled. The shower was also quite small with some grubby-looking grip stickers on its base. There was no shower mat either which led to a wet floor. The position of the hotel was excellent, and beautiful mountains were right outside the window. However, the food was not great, with little variety, and I even found hairs in my food on occasion. The starter dish was often nice, but plain still. Overall it was an OK hotel that served its purpose and was safe, but could have done with an update in style, a slightly deeper clean, and some...
Read moreSpent 3 days of ski in Courmayeur. I choose this hotel due to the excellent price and convenient location, but had little expectations. To my great surprise, this was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. Yes, the hotel is a bit old fashioned, but very well maintained. Breakfast was very reasonably priced (5 euro) and gave a good start for a day of ski. The hotel restaurant was pretty good and served local dishes and a good pizza at prices of around 20 euros per person for a full meal. ||||More then anything I have to tell about the staff. The hotel is family owned and the warm, welcoming feel they gave us during all of our stay was one like which I never encountered before. ||||All in all, this Hotel is highly recommended and I will surely...
Read moreFirst time traveling to Europe and staying at an hotel after a TMB journey. Definitely a wonderful experience. Rooms are clean. The balcony is spacious. The view of Mont Blanc is gorgeous. The direction of the windows allows you to sleep till who knows when without getting blinded the sun. Staff are super nice and helpful, and can speak better English than me. The garden is perfect for chilling in the afternoon.
The hotel is at Palleusieux, just 10 mins on bus from Courmayeur. Palleusieux is essentially a small residential commune, so you won't find any restaurant or grocery stores there, but you can have dinner at the hotel and just walk for 10 mins to Pre-Saint-Didider via an easy obvious trail.
Great place to stay at and I highly...
