Disappointed with our Dining Experience
Just had the most disappointing evening at this restaurant with my girlfriend, and I feel compelled to share our experience. We were enticed by the 4.4-star rating, but unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. 😔
From the moment we walked in, the staff's attitude was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. It's disheartening when you're excited to try a new place and are met with such negativity. The lack of hospitality definitely put a damper on our evening.
To make matters worse, the food was a huge letdown. We decided to go all out and try the €40 tasting menu, hoping for a culinary adventure. However, each dish fell flat, lacking flavor and creativity. It felt like a complete waste of money and left us craving for something more satisfying. The fonduta horrible cold and no cheese taste( a cheese fundu not testing of cheese never b4)
At this point, I can't help but question the legitimacy of their high rating. It's hard to believe that other restaurants with lower ratings wouldn't provide a better dining experience. It almost feels like these stars are being faked or manipulated somehow.
If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, I would strongly recommend exploring other options. Don't be fooled by the seemingly high rating; there are definitely better places out there to satisfy your taste buds and provide a welcoming atmosphere. The Apple and Jupiter sorbet was looking like s..t ! They must have bliz some apple and gin… honestly disgusting. Berries millefoglie, burned sheet of something ( surely not puff pastry) and a horrible double cream.

Read moreThis is the perfect restaurant and menu for the area. The food has a focus on cheese, but the other dishes are equally amazing. Prices are very reasonable and quality is 10/10 - fondue and raclette both around 20€ and enough for a few people. Great wine is also available for under 20€ per bottle. Staff speak multiple languages (including English) and spent time explaining each dish in detail. We travel a lot and a few times to Valle d’Aosta and this was our best meal in the region. Abbiamo cenato in due, durante il secondo turno delle 21:30 (il primo è quello delle 19:30), seppur l'orario di chiusura riporti le 22:00. Evidentemente non è stato aggiornato, o si riferisce all'entrata limite per i commensali.
La location è decisamente caratteristica, con motivi colorati sulle pareti, suppellettili in pieno stile montanaro e un'inconfondibile odore di formaggio fuso che accoglie i clienti già dal primo gradino delle scale d'entrata.
Il personale è rapido e preciso: in pochi istanti dal nostro arrivo eravamo già seduti al tavolo a leggere il piccolo menù. Pochi i piatti disponibili. Il focus è sulla qualità, per cui avere meno portate aiuta a concentrarsi nel prepararli perfettamente. Così è stato. Nota a margine, buona la carta dei vini.
Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di affettati tipici, accompagnati da castagne al miele e burro di alpeggio. 15€ per un piatto abbondante, ma leggero, ottimo da deliziare in coppia.
L'entrata principale da noi scelta è stata invece la raclettte classica, con aggiunta di mocetta, un affettato simile alla bresaola. Qui occorre fare una precisazione sulle porzioni. Abbiamo preso una porzione singola (19€) ma le cameriere ai tavoli vicini hanno insistito per raddoppiare le porzioni agli altri ospiti. Quando le portate sono poi arrivate al tavolo, non c'era molta differenza tra la porzione singola e quella doppia, se non per le dimensioni della fetta di formaggio, effettivamente raddoppiate. I condimenti, patate, affettati e verdurine sotto aceto parevano della medesima quantità.
L'indomani ci siamo svegliati incredibilmente leggeri, nonostante aver cenato con formaggio fuso, pane e affettati alle 22. Giusto un po' di arsura durante la notte.
Non abbiamo provato i dolci, sarà allora la scusa per tornarci.
