Post Alpina - Family Mountain Chalets — Hotel in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

The management of this hotel couldn’t be any nicer. They genuinely cared about their guest experience and I won’t bore you with the countless times I saw them show compassion towards myself and other guests just take my word for it. The staff followed that lead. The rooms were the cleanest I have ever experienced staying in a hotel and believe me when I say I check for dust behind dressers and under beds to see how well the rooms are cleaned. |This place is geared towards families with small children. They have everything a kid could ever want including pool toys and safety swim arms if you forgot your own. The playground so close to dining area which made it easy when they were done to go outside. |Our kids loved this place! |My picky traveler side comments which you can discount just laugh if you disagree: |Tyrollean food is not our favorite but they have a selection of meats, cheeses, and fruit along with salads which gave us other options. This is unavoidable in this area. I think? |We wish the pool was open later (closes at 7 pm) and the spa window was also too short for our liking. It opens late and closes early. I would have loved to use after kids went to bed. I guess this is good for sleeping children but bad when your child still wants to swim after dinner. The childcare was great but my children were bored with it after the 2nd day so we couldn’t get them to go back. Big bummer! They are 5&6 and felt to many babies were in there. It would have been nice to see this separated toddlers and babies away from young children. I guess it would be like a teenager having to play with kids my age. The dining room was stuffy hot and we wish they would have opened the doors to let beautiful fresh air in. There was also no outside dining option for dinner which was a total disappointment for the summer weather. Maybe due to flies inside but they could get some sort of screens and open the sliders. Maybe it’s just because I’m American and Europeans don’t mind being sweaty eating. We would also have Amazon”ed” a fan before our stay for the room. There is no a/c and some nights no breeze or cross ventilation. I don’t like sleeping hot and sweaty either. The beds were a little hard like Japanese hard which is also not the most comfortable thing for me. I asked for an extra comforter to get more padding. These would be the only reason we will try another place when we return. If our review was soley based on hospitality we would come here again and again! |This is also why I give 5 not to bring down a rating because maybe I’m just too picky with above...

Our first family experience at the Post Alpina was memorable on so many levels and left us wondering how soon could we be back.||They really have it all, the kids activities and amenities, the adult spa and relaxation areas, the top quality and clean facilities not to mention the supreme location in a natural playground and lastly but most memorable for us, the FOOD!||We travelled for a week with our 3 kids (3 months, 2.5 & 4.5 yrs). Worried about the load that travelling with 3 under 5 would come with we wanted something that would support us with the kids and take as much off our plate as possible so we could relax as well. The Post Alpina did not disappoint. We were able to spend with as a couple while the kids were in the kids club or get massages and relax in the spa. ||We looked forward to every meal as the food was divine. Carefully prepared to cater the various restrictions and always absolutely delicious with so much choice.||The real key to the warm and welcoming environment at the post Alpina lies with the owners and the team. They are like a big family and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Greeted with smiles at every corner the attention to the guests is second to none. Made us feel like we were part of the family too. My children knew many of them by their names by the time we left. ||We highly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. Questa per me è davvero una recensione difficile da scrivere |Impossibile dare meno di tre pallini ma sono tutti dedicati allo staff e alla posizione|L’hotel in sé è bellissimo ma lo chalet è stato una delusione: molto vissuto, non pulito alla perfezione (il pavimento in stanza da letto era veramente molto sporco) e gli arredi in alcuni punti danneggiati; la cosa peggiore è stata la dotazione, non mi era MAI capitato di trovarne una così basic… mancavano perfino un paio di forbici e un apribottiglie, l’ho chiesto la prima sera assieme alla cena in chalet ma è arrivato molto dopo perché non si trovava, ho chiesto la sostituzione dell’unica padella perché molto rovinata ma non la avevano e così è stato per i dieci giorni del soggiorno….|In cambio me ne hanno portata una microscopica che andava bene giusto per un uovo e che non mi sarebbe servita a nulla; mancavano perfino il sale e lo zucchero, non mi era mai successo di non trovarne, nemmeno in ambienti molto più modesti |L’attrezzatura per la pulizia indecente: scopa vecchissima, lurida e rovinata e del tutto inefficace (serve l’aspirapolvere!) una palettina col manico corto per raccogliere la spazzatura, UNA pezzetta (bisognava scegliere se usarla per il bagno o per la cucina) e mancanza totale (tranne pastiglie basic per la lavastoviglie e un detersivo per piatti) anche di un singolo detersivo spray o vetri e mancava anche la spugna per i piatti! |Ma dico io, ma preparatelo un cestinello con spugne NUOVE e detersivi adatti anche per il bagno, li mettete in contenutori riutilizzabili in quantità adatte alla permanenza e me lo metti nel prezzo della camera, ma che ci vuole?! |Piano cottura sfruttatissimo e senza neanche il raschietto per pulirlo, davvero poco confortevole, così come il dover andare in reception per chiedere ogni volta qualche ciocco di legna e DUE micropezzi di accendifuoco (abbiamo dovuto comprare anche quello!) |Come avrei dovuto pulire il camino poi non si sa, mistero anche quello, per evitare mi sono limitata ad accenderlo poche volte e bona lì; nonostante il periodo di dieci giorni non hanno mai fatto le pulizie neanche a metà settimana, si sono solo prenurati di cambiare le asciugamani (terribili, rinsecchite e durissime, noi abbiamo usato gli accappatoi della spa per asciugarci o lo scrub era assicurato) e le lenzuola |Cuscini osceni pieni di bozzi e piumino supersintetico|Cucina così così, piatto troppo abbondanti e a cui mancava quello sprint del servizio esclusivo; oadta cruda e gelida neo servizio in camera, zuppa d’orzo viscida e coniglio crudo a tavola |Pasticceria invece BUONISSIMA|Prezzo della colazione assoluamente non congruo, solo alla fine ci hanno detto dei pochi piatti alla carte, per il resto pane congelato e tutto confezionato, l’abbiamo fatta una volta e mai più |Sale molto affollate e calde, troppi ospiti stipati, abbiamo cenaro tre volte e nella serata tirolese avevamo un ragazzo (per carità bravissimo) che ha suonato a due metri da noi TUTTA LA SERA, un incubo, quando finalmente ha smesso sembrava il paradiso e tutti hanno fatto ‘aaaaaah’ per la pace ritrovata ||Piscina MOOOOOLTO sottodimensionata per la quantità di ospiti con bambini selvaggi e NESSUN tipo di controllo; fatta pedicure in spa, lei carinissima e gentile ma servizio da estetista in casa: no maschera, no massaggio se non due secondi per far assorbire la crema, grattata fastidiosa con la lima come nei 90 |Mio figlio pulizia viso (non certo la prima) che sembrava ok ma dopo qualche giorno si è riempito di brufoli dove non ne aveva mai avuti….||C’è stato un problema tecnico nello chalet affrontato benissimo ma ho avuto i tecnici in stanza per tre giorni (anche se almeno loro hanno bussato prima di entrare, le cameriere invece usano la loro chiave ed entrano senza permesso in orari comodissimi tipo le 14 🙄) ||Mi spiace ma...
