Meridiana Family & Nature Hotel — Hotel in Ravenna

Room - housekeeping came in daily to fix the room and change towels. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom had a slight smell sometimes but was tolerable. Walls were not soundproof but we had a sound machine for the child so it was bearable. The black out windows worked well but there was a bit of light coming in from barhroom door, which was also tolerable.

Food - quality over quantity. They had 2 choices for main course and 4 for first course. They changed their menu daily, great selection. Everything was fresh and well prepared by chef. Salad fruits and great desserts were available too. Separate area for kids to eat with their entertainers and other kids if they like.

Staff - the head receptionist was really accomodating but besides him the rest were ok, the one who checked us in didnt inform us of whats inclusive to what we availed except for meals and sunbeds so we were dumbfounded in the end about the "frigobar" which weren't even available in the room we got. We knew about it at check out and it seems that staff are not well informed about amenities of each room type. A "man" involved in an event about the Parco del Po who was preparing the show, left photos at the lobby & expected kids wont get curious about them. We said sorry for touching them since it was near the area where the brochures were, he kindly responded to us that they were for the show but once he turned around he did a rude 'italian' gesture talking to the young receptionist about us. The 'animatori' for kids were exceptional! They made sure the kids had fun and catered to their interest. They were very patient and playful that my son was so sad to leave. They made our stay extra special and unforgettable. The people serving in the restaurant were also nice and very attentive in taking used dishes. Barman was also nice.

Activities - besides all the acitivties for the kids like baby dance at the beach, games, indoor outdoor play, cinema, they also had morning exercises for adults by the beach which we really enjoyed. Only down part is that their bikes weren't as reliable as the roads were very bumpy. Its crucial especially with a child behind..

Location - was a close walk to the beach, under the famous pineta so we were shielded from the sun and wind. Supermarket some restaurants nearby. No available pharmacy during our stay in May

Amenities - play areas outdoor and especially indoor were all well kept and entertaining for kids especially since it rained on our first day. Pool was cool so we werent able to try it. Elevators were quick. Bathrooms were clean with toddler bathrooms available in public areas as a plus. A lot of lounging areas. Restaurant was very clean and well maintained. A nido for small kids with sitters available.

All in all, despite not having a great beach, the hotel stay was a fun experience especially for a couple with children. Its a place where parents can relax while kids can be kids and enjoy. The best and most valuable part are their animators, It makes it very reasonably priced and i would recommend...

For a family with small children, this is a paradise. Everything is carefully planned so that the little guests and their parents feel as well as possible. There is lots of programme for children and even though it's in Italian or in English, also other children can take part. There is a cinema for children. There is even a part in the restaurant where the children can eat with their friends without parents if they want to (there are all the time several members of staff to help).

The staff is very friendly. There were practically only young people. They speak Italian and English. Once a week, the staff wears carnival costumes from Spiderman to Princess only because children find it funny.

There is no pool for small children but our children swam in the normal pool (which is not huge). There is an area with sand and toys for the smallest children close to the pool - their parents can lay on the sun beds next to them. The sea is about 300 m away and the beds and sun umbrellas belong to the price.

The building is not new but it has been beautifully renovated from inside. The rooms are tidy and convenient. One can drink tab water.

Because the food is excellent, it is recommendable to take a full board. As a speciality, I mention the delicious marmelades which had been made by someone's mamma. Incredibly tasty and those big reusable glasses are much more ecological than those small, plastic marmalade packages you see in other hotels. The coffee was delicious and made with love. The drinks at the pool belong to the full board. Ice cream is served twice a day and the children with full board get a snack at 4.

There are no big shopping possibilities nearby. Ravenna with its incredible Byzantine empire time churches is 14 km away.

The only reason to stay away from this hotel is if you happen to hate children or look for absolute silence. The families are allowed to be how they are here - sometimes noisy, crazy and chaotic. We...

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem Hotel – vor allem dank der Menschen, die hier arbeiten.

Das Animationsteam gibt wirklich alles und macht großartige Arbeit. Jeder Animateur begegnet den Kindern mit Freundlichkeit, Engagement und echter Begeisterung. Auch unsere Tochter Lotta, die eher schüchtern ist, fühlte sich sehr willkommen. Giulia hat ihr mit viel Herz und Geduld gezeigt, dass sie dazugehört – trotz sprachlicher Barrieren. Danke für diesen Einsatz, der alles andere als selbstverständlich ist!

Auch im Restaurant erleben wir echte Gastfreundschaft. Die Leitung macht einen erstklassigen Job, das gesamte Team ist freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Gästen eine schöne Zeit zu bereiten. Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service herzlich – selbst wenn manche Gäste nicht sehr respektvoll auftreten oder das Personal nur als solches betrachten. Das Team bleibt immer freundlich und professionell, mit einem ehrlichen Lächeln im Gesicht. Dafür unser voller Respekt und unsere aufrichtige Wertschätzung!

Der Koch ist nicht nur engagiert, sondern auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – man spürt, dass hier mit Freude gekocht wird. Die Bar wird mit Liebe geführt – die Bedienung ist besonders aufmerksam, freundlich und herzlich. Auch hier fühlt man sich als Gast wirklich gesehen.

Die Rezeption ist stets hilfsbereit und zugewandt, bei Fragen immer ansprechbar und freundlich.

Und nicht zuletzt: Die Zimmerreinigung ist erstklassig – gründlich, zuverlässig und freundlich. Auch hier begegnet man den Gästen mit einem Lächeln.

Besonders schön ist, dass man sich auch ohne Italienisch jederzeit willkommen fühlt. Viele Mitarbeitende sprechen Englisch oder versuchen mit Gestik und Freundlichkeit eine Verbindung aufzubauen. Es ist die Haltung, die zählt – und die ist hier durchweg positiv.

Wir danken jedem Einzelnen, der in diesem Hotel arbeitet, für diese wunderbare Zeit. Es ist spürbar, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Ein großes Grazie di cuore – wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

🇮🇹 Un hotel accogliente, gestito con cuore e uno staff straordinario

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo hotel – soprattutto grazie alle persone eccezionali che ci lavorano.

Il team di animazione dà davvero tutto e fa un lavoro fantastico. Ogni animatore si rivolge ai bambini con gentilezza, impegno ed entusiasmo sincero. Anche nostra figlia Lotta, molto timida, si è sentita accolta e felice. Giulia ha fatto di tutto con pazienza e cuore per farla sentire parte del gruppo, nonostante le difficoltà linguistiche. Grazie di cuore per questo impegno!

Anche al ristorante abbiamo vissuto una vera ospitalità. La direzione fa un lavoro eccellente, l’intero team è cordiale, attento e si impegna a rendere piacevole il soggiorno di ogni ospite. Il cibo è buono e il servizio caloroso – anche quando alcuni clienti non si comportano con rispetto o trattano lo staff solo come “personale di servizio”. Lo staff resta sempre sorridente, professionale e gentile. Per questo merita tutta la nostra stima e il nostro rispetto.

Lo chef è non solo competente, ma anche disponibile e gentile – si sente che cucina con gioia. Il bar è gestito con amore, il servizio è attento, cordiale e accogliente. Anche qui ci si sente visti e apprezzati come ospiti.

La reception è sempre disponibile, gentile e pronta ad aiutare.

E infine: le pulizie delle camere sono impeccabili – tutto è pulito con cura, il personale è gentile e affidabile. Anche qui, ogni saluto è accompagnato da un sorriso sincero.

Un aspetto speciale: anche chi non parla italiano si sente sempre il benvenuto. Molti dipendenti parlano inglese o trovano comunque un modo gentile per comunicare. È l’atteggiamento che fa la differenza – e qui è davvero positivo in ogni reparto.

Grazie di cuore a ogni singola persona che lavora in questo hotel. Abbiamo sentito che qui si lavora con amore e passione....
