I wanted to avoid the touristy destinations whilst touring the Dolomites, but I still wanted access to some beautiful scenery and some interesting walking. I discovered this hotel by chance and it was one of the best three days stays i have had in Italy. Its an authentic and traditional hotel with a good value half-board tariff. The room was a good size, clean, well equipped with a balcony with views down the valley. The place was spotless and charming but what made it so special was the friendly, helpful staff and the excellent dinners.
Francesco, his wife, sister, even his young son all made me feel at home. The meal service was swift, courteous with an obvious passion in the kitchen.
The village itself was off the main valley road and very quiet, apart from the bells of the nearby church and the bubbling stream next door. Walking around the village was a delight, wooden houses and barns all with flowers and interesting decorations. It was like a living museum. Free parking, spoken English, easy payment process, good internet access and efficient room servicing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and turned an overnighter into a...
