Pizzeria Ristorante La Tirolese — Restaurant in Rocca Pietore

We went to this restaurant because of its' proximity to Malga Ciapela.

The staff was very friendly and you could feel a sense of enthusiasm and willingness to help from the waiter.

The prices were surprisingly sensible, with dishes costing about as much as they would cost in a big city (an exception might be the drinks, which were definitely expensive).

We had the mushroom tagliatelle and tirolese spaetzle. The portions were definitely filling (despite both meals being listed as first dishes) and the taste was very good. The tagliatelle was mushroomy and the spaetzle was creamy.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is staying at a hotel without a dinner option and is looking for a place to eat.

P.S: we went there on the 10th of February, which is during the carnival season. During the dinner, a couple of locals in masks went into the restaurant to cause harmless mischief while laughing. We definitely did not expect that, but it didn't last long and we didn't...

Mi sono fermato in questo ristorante/pizzeria assieme ad un amico per pranzare. Abbiamo ordinato una carbonara, dei tagliolini con capriolo, e un piatto che, da menù, era composto da del formaggio Dobbiaco alla piastra con polenta e funghi. Al momento dell'ordinazione chi ci ha servito al tavolo, riassumendo a voce l'ordinazione ha menzionato il Dobbiaco con polenta e io ho ribadito "e funghi". Arrivano i pasti al tavolo: la mia carbonara e al mio amico dello spezzatino con capriolo.... Lui fa presente che non era quello che aveva ordinato e dopo altri 15 minuti arrivano i tagliolini col capriolo. Mi viene poi portato il secondo: Dobbiaco alla piastra con polenta.... Faccio presente che da menù c'erano anche i funghi.... Risposta di chi ci serviva:"eh no, non me li avevi chiesti"...io: "da menù erano nella composizione del piatto, comunque non importa a me può star bene anche così".... Risposta:"vabbè se vuoi i funghi te li porto"..... Dopo un po' i funghi sono arrivati.....al momento del conto però mi è stato addebitato il piatto di Dobbiaco con polenta e un piatto di funghi invece del piatto che da menù era già composto del tutto.... Quindi, anche se di spiccioli, ho pagato in più.... Ma non è questo che da fastidio quanto l'insistenza nel dirmi che i funghi non li avevo ordinati..... Non basta. Al mio amico dopo che aveva finito il primo è stato chiesto:"ma il capriolo con la polenta non lo vuole?"... Lui non l'aveva nemmeno ordinato e si prova a propinarglielo riscaldato???.... Mi spiace fare recensioni negative ma positiva questa recensione non...

I don’t really understand how someone is leaving good reviews… two stars because the price is decent, but the food is just not it. Cooked by non-Italians (no discrimination intended in any way), and it tastes non-Italian. Low quality, not food for value and honestly just not nice. The place was also a bit sketchy and dirty. Save your time, hunger and money for a nearby restaurant, like the Pizzeria Marmolada (15 minutes walking) or the hotel montanara...
