Hotel Garni Ai Serrai — Hotel in Rocca Pietore

We flew in to Venice and it is about a 2 hour drive to the B&B. Given we opted for a hire car, we have a wider choice of where to stay.||Really pleased with the Garni Ai Serrai. We arrived far too early to check into the room but we were made to feel so welcome by the owner. We left our cases and when we arrived later they had been put into our room which was very nice. Wifi worked well in our room.||The hospitality of the host is brilliant. She is so welcoming and offers advice and tips which are very useful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, as too are all areas of the B&B. Breakfast is served from 7.30am and is very adequate with a good selection of cakes, croissants, bread, cheeses and cold meats. Coffee/tea is served by the host. ||The B&B is quiet - you can hear neighbouring rooms slightly but nothing to complain about. Outside the hotel there is a parking area for guests and if you are here to ski there is a brilliant ski storage area with heated poles to dry your boots.||If you're concerned about having to be in early as it is a B&B don't be. There is a side entrance to the building so you can let yourself in. The village the B&B is situated in is beautiful.. the only downside, especially if you aren't driving, is that there are only a couple of restaurants nearby. ||Only thing I would like to add to improve the B&B is tea/coffee making facilities to the room. But everything else is just spot on. ||Would we return and would we recommend this B&B to others? Absolutely. We have stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights in July 2018. The owner Elena is super nice and helpful. Hotel is small and cosy, rooms are spacious and very clean. I think that every room has a balcony. We really loved our stay at Ai Serrai. Very beautiful and cosy garni. The owner is very friendly and the breakfast is very nice with a good selection incl. eggs. The location is very good, just 200 meters from the entrance to Serrai di Sottoguda. The cableway to Marmolada is on the other side of Serrai di Sottoguda, 30 minute walk away.
