Most spectacular location. Just sit and watch the Dolomites in all shades of light. Daily offer of 1-2 hikes per day with professional Bergführern as well as climbing options. Sometimes the groups do get a bit large as anybody can join (20+ people are too many to my taste). Watch out as classifications of hikes done by the hotel and by the Bergführer may differ! My intermediate hike definitely was advanced in parts. It is a nice idea to watch the photos done during the hike in the evening at the bar. You can also get them on a stick to take home. The great location of the hotel makes it possible to do lots of different hikes as the bus stop is conveniently located just across the hotel so you don't need to drive at all. A one week bus pass is included. As the hotel is right next to the road leading up the mountain, the seats outside as well as some rooms will not be as quite and remote as you may want them to be. Nice inside/outside pool and small natural lake and three saunas, one steam bath. I did like the stylish and convenient Kneipp basins leading out of the spa area. Two big rooms to relax and the big lawn with sun beds and fantastic views. It is said that the pool/spa area will be enlarged this winter. I did not have the need for that. They even have a small indoor climbing wall. The food is nice but portions are very small (I didn't mind as this helped me to manage all four courses). If your waiter doesn't tell you (like mine): you can always have seconds and there are open wines so you don't need to get a bottle. Also: the water automatically served at the table is not for free. Prices for some beverages are steep (€6.20 for a large apple spritz is ridiculous and higher then even in remote mountain huts). Very nice breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, cereals, local breads, great cold cuts, various egg dishes and more. Free afternoon snack buffet with one soup option and pastries. Staff is very nice. Rooms are stylish and clean. Some tiny things could be improved: state the number of reception in the rooms (dependence Bergheim), change the curtain design in the Bergheim rooms. The rooms are so nicely done but the curtains must be a relict from other earlier times. Great design of the bathroom but it is impossible to shower without the toilet and half the wash room getting wet. Last comment on prices: this is a fab place to be but with lots to offer but prices are steep, especially for the region. No kids prices unless two adults paying. Additional charges for stays shorter then 5 days. If you come by train: the hotel can easily and directly be reached by bus from Bozen...
Read moreThis place is ideal. Design, location, service- just perfect! But let’s go into details: Location: on one hand you are surrounded by gorgeous mountains, forests, and only sounds of birds wale you up, on the other hand the place has an amazing logistics: the super new gondola which connects the place with the Carrezza ski area is located within 7 meters from the hotel, however you will not hear ent noise, nor you will notice the “traditional ugly concrete construction”, because it is hiding inside of the green hill! Plus the bus stop is also within 3 meters from the hotel where buses connect you with such areas as Alpe di Suisi, Val di fassa etc Service: everyone here tries to make everything possible so that you stay will be comfortable. Rooms: super clean, amazingly ergonomic: even in the smallest of the rooms you could easily open two suitcases and still have a lot of space for yourself (which is not the obvious from the information on the hotel web site) Yes, you will not find sleepers or liquid shampoo or dental kit in the room, because in may cases people do not use them and as a result it increases the amount of unnecessary waste. But you could just ask the staff, and all will be provided in no time. Food: I’ve read many negative reviews re food here. And honestly I am surprised. The hotel uses as much as possible local supplies to make sure that you will have the most fresh and high quality ingredients: like eggs from happy chickens (I am sure based on the taste). Yes, you will not find the usual salad buffets for the dinner, actually the food is served in the way that could easily make best fine dining restaurants move into jealous mood. So even salads are served individually. However , if you do not like the composition of the salad or any other plate you could easily ask the staff to make something different for you. The point here is to ask (which many people do not do and thus do not receive what they expect) SPA - one of the best massages I’ve made. Best aufgus in the sauna. The pool outside is really warm , so comfortable to swim even in low temperatures. Activities: the hotel just in the process of web site rearrangement so if you are interested in the specific activity, email the hotel to make sure that it will be included into their weekly schedule. Or just ask what type of activities the hotel will organize, since there could be some misunderstandings. General: the hotel had a washing machine, so you do not need to pack a lot of staff, you could easily wash some of your clothes. Also there is an iron and an ironing board on each floor with a mending...
Read moreOur stay at the Cyprianerhof Dolomit Resort has easily been one of the most special times we have had in decades.
We travel a lot and have been to a lot of wonderful places but this place and its people are for sure a highlight. So much that I am not even sure where to start.
Landscapes are a true natural monument and the views were almost like a perfect Instagram picture through all our time there. Even when the sun wasn't out. The hotel felt like a place built around that and meant to have us enjoying the views. If you come here to explore nature, you are perfectly located for some amazing hikes, both for beginners or for very experienced hikers. You decide how much you want to adventure out! But even if you prefere to stay inside, the climbing wall or the gym have you sorted in terms of movement.
The hotel and the rooms are very special and have everything we needed and more. I loved their zero waste approach and the products they use are very high quality. I slept very well every night. The spa was brilliant too. With many options for therapies/massages/etc but also with the different saunas and wellness rooms. It felt very spacious and we were wishing a day had more hours to be able to experience everything that the spa offered.
Now, unto the food. I barely have pictures of it because I was too busy enjoying the meals heheh but every breakfast the quality of the produce and offer was outstanding. Catering for different diets and giving you flexibility of choice. At dinner we were treated to a 5 course meal and once again, you have the total freedom to decide how much you indulge or not in it. If you want the whole experience (which I recommend you take) it feels like you gift yourself time to go through the journey of fresh produce every day with a different offering each night. Almost like a dance with the team of chefs in charge of this delicious menu. A special mention for the mind behind the desserts...every night I was in awe of how imaginative the flavours were. Or if you prefer, you can choose yourself from the menu and have a shorter meal, the team will cater to your necessities without a doubt.
Lastly, the team. Through the whole stay I felt taken care of. I want to extend my gratitude to such a lovely team that gives such a beautiful energy to make our stay as pleasant as possible and is attentive to details all around.
This place is a must stay for anyone looking for a unique experience focused on wellness, rest and overall reconnection to...
