Really everything about Cir was wonderful. Cir’s location high on the slopes of Alta Badia mean that one sleeps, eats, plays and skis in and out of a place really as a part of the drama of the Dolomites. This means wonderful snow conditions and easy access to some of the most beautiful skiing anywhere. And it means for most of us that one is thoroughly nestled in and at the hotel for the duration of the visit. At Cir that is a blessing, because the staff do so much to make the hotel stay sublime. The bars, living-room common space, and dining room are inviting; and the rooms themselves are simple but well-appointment – and truly charming. Most importantly, everyone on staff – every receptionist, maid, chef, bartender, waiter…up to and also owner Christian – was so helpful and friendly and kind in providing advice, guidance, service and lovely conversation. They worked as a genuine community of friends and made us and everyone feel so welcome and cared for. Cir was, hence, truly wonderful, not just for its breathtaking beauty but for its community...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Hotel Cir! The location is spectacular! Even guests not wanting or able to explore the Dolomites on foot are treated to breathtaking mountain views usually only seen after difficult treks, and all from the comfort of their room or the patio. It is also perfectly situated to explore the region on trails, ski runs or by bike. The manager Christian is extremely knowledgeable of the region and always makes the time to advise guests planning their excursions. The first one he recommended to us (a seven hour hike starting from the hotel) was so packed with awesome and varied vistas that I was left speechless. The rooms are relatively simple but very clean and comfortable, and have everything one could need. The breakfast buffet is very generous and good. Dinner starts with a large all-you-can-eat salad/anti-pasti buffet and continues with three courses (for which second, or even third, portions of each is offered). I hope to return to...
Read moreThis place truly deserves its 5 stars. To begin with, the staff was so kind and while they have checkin open until 8 PM they waited for us until 10:20PM because our flight was delayed. We really appreciated how understanding and helpful they were. Once we got there the place was so clean and beautiful. It's not a new hotel but it's so well maintained, we just loved it. The views are absolutely brilliant!!! In all directions you see wonderful views, from your room, from the terrace, even from the parking lot you get superb views of the mountains. The staff is sooo nice and pleasant. The place is perfectly positioned, it's practically somewhere in the middle between all the main points from the Dolomites and you're within max a 1.5 hours drive from all the main ones. We stayed for 10 days and would definitely stay...
