From the moment you check in you feel like an honored guest of the family. They go out of their way at every level to make you feel pampered and welcomed. There are only 26 rooms at the hotel so all the staff know you by name and greet you like family.||Location: Just a few minutes up the hill from charming Ortisei, this is the perfect location to enjoy everything the Dolomites have to offer, and just far enough away from it all to enjoy serene, quiet peace. ||Service and Food: It was such a pleasure to wake to a beautiful breakfast buffet every morning and sit on the patio watching the sun rise above the Dolomites. Be sure to book half board with breakfast and dinner included. In the morning they bring you the dinner menu where you get to choose your plates for the evening’s 5 course dinner. The chef is amazing and the sommelier Dave helped us choose some amazing wines to go with our meals. Their wine list is extensive and Dave is super knowledgeable and friendly. The value for the half board is incredible…we were so spoiled and couldn’t believe how lucky we felt to have landed at Hotel Niblea. The new Bar and patio area are the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a cocktail with friends, with its cozy inside nooks or comfortable outside areas, all making the most of the inspiring view.||Amenities: the hotel recently renovated and everything is perfection! We stayed in one of the new wellness rooms which was beautifully appointed, simple yet elegant and warm, the most comfortable bed and amazing bathroom, and the deck with the view…the view!!!…just perfect! The pictures do not do that view justice. The infinity pool was beautiful and I love that they encourage guests to stay quiet for the peace and enjoyment of all the guests. It’s so peaceful and helps you unwind and truly relax. The sauna is absolutely breathtaking and the steam room is amazing…spa area complete with a quiet relaxation room and beautiful ice feature to help ice down after the hot rooms. This area of the hotel is the perfect place to recover after an amazing day of hiking, biking or snow sports. ||We can’t wait to stay at Hotel Niblea again. It was the highlight of our...

Read moreThis is a great resort but note that it’s kid-friendly. The rooms are a bit plain but the views are beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff are wonderful. However, it is not an adults-only resort and the pool/spa area is all in one general ares and connected. We had kids staying there screaming/howling/spitting on us in the pool - they were so awful that they basically managed to clear out the entire pool areal bc the parents/staff wouldn’t do anything about it. Ruined our experience honestly. So we didn’t really get to enjoy the pool/spa area much during our time there unfortunately. They stayed in the pool all evening until dinner time so it ruined the relaxation of the guests. We also had to sit in a room with these kids at dinner one night and it was terrible. They were so loud and nobody would say anything or try to help us move out of the room (they did acknowledge it when we asked not to be seated with them again and were very helpful at that point though). At one point the kids were howling and the parents were howling back - that’s how bad it was. There were other kids there who were great, but I wouldn’t stay here again just for that reason bc i know if unruly kids are there, it will mess with the entire experience. If they made it adults only, I’d definitely be back!
Also note that the rooms without a view have lovely goats feeding back behind the resort. It’s lovely! But you might not be able to keep your windows open bc they have bells around their necks and they eat all night long - lol. We shut our windows at night because they were loud and it got rather warm.
It’s a little outside of town but the hotel shuttles will take you whenever you want to go, which is super nice!
Overall a wonderful resort but they just need to make it...
