DO NOT BOOK IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES OR OTHER HEALTH CONCERNS—YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK! I don’t persist arguments over minor issues, but this is a serious public health concern. The owner, Maria, dismissed my life-threatening allergies as “pseudo” after chastising us for refusing food I couldn’t eat. I carry an EpiPen 24/7 and, thankfully, took my allergy and asthma meds as a precaution when I suddenly didnt feel well—likely saving my life. I ended up in the hospital, ruining my ski trip, thinking it was asthma induced by altitude sickness—only to realize it was an allergic reaction evident of their negligence that she herself admitted to in response to my previous review. When this originally happened, I called reception twice (Maria’s husband answered) and even asked in person for a doctor, but no one cared or helped. A 4-star property should have immediate access to medical assistance. Maria’s responses to negative reviews are just immature personal attacks, never solutions or attempts to improve. You can see it for yourself, her words are speaking more than I need to about her character and what kind of business they run. This is not somebody who deserves a cent of support for their business. In a world that needs more kindness and integrity, this behavior is unacceptable. No true professional responds as she does. From check-in, she was unfriendly, and when I politely asked for a water refill during their lunch break on the job in the lobby, her husband obliged, but Maria just glared at me in disgust. Her behavior is a pattern—even her husband and father condemned her actions in front of us. She apologized profusely in person even asking what she did wrong, but turned hostile online. Not surprising. Below I’ve attached a photo of my completely empty “linner” plate because I had intuitive feeling Maria would falsely claim we wasted food given her suspicious behavior against me. I’ve never seen a hotel charge for “wasted” food, so I took my own precautions should this situation arise. How fitting that I have proof. Those are your dishes with your meal on your table in your restaurant :) I could elaborate on the other misconduct Maria performed but the review is long enough. For me, safety is everything. I’ve stayed at luxury hotels worldwide, and this doesn’t even meet 1-star service. Forget the beautiful views—this place is reckless with guest safety. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews I read prior to booking. This whole experience gave me a headache. Take my advice: LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS THIS TIME ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES IR HESLTH CONCERNS.

You just said so yourself your property did not take her allergies seriously. So thank you for solving the mystery for us as to why she ended up in the hospital one night. Your husband can confirm. We asked him which hospital to go to. She thought she was having asthma attack, but after reading your response, it’s clear that it was probably mishandling of food. We can sue you for this and you told on yourself. It’s ironic that you display such boldness online, yet when I expressed my concerns about your behavior at checkout, you retreated and were very apologetic, repeatedly inquiring about what you did and were deeply concerned because you know exactly how you treated us. I praised the hotel overall, but your response, which is largely a defensive misrepresentation, fails to address the issues others have highlighted in their reviews. My partner never said she had a gluten nor lactose allergy (another lie). She has a NUTS and SHELLFISH allergy which was made very clear and is serious as she came to the table with the EpiPen at every meal. Congrats to you, your negligence and rude behavior (as the initial review discussed) has gotten you and your family’s business reported. I’ve already taken a screenshot, and I will take legal action by Monday. We said we were happy to pay for spa, another lie from you. We also received 3 keys the first day not 5. And never asked again for a key. Another lie. It’s unfortunate, because the property is beautiful, but your behavior is unacceptable. My partner hardly spoke to you, yet your staff enjoyed interacting with her, even asking for her email.

Location for my taste is ideal as I always use a hire car. Ample parking and you get a designated spot for all the days of your stay. Ours was in the garage with access to the lift direct to the room. The Room was very spacious, tidy and very nicely decorated. Bathroom on the large size with separate shower and toilet area. Throughout our stay it was extremely quiet and we were able to get some quality sleep. One recommendation is that a coffee machine would be a nice feature for us early birds who need one before breakfast is open. Breakfast has a very nice selection and was more than adequate for us. A very bright room with very nice decor. As its adults only again it was nice and quiet. Linner is a great concept and we thoroughly enjoyed it each day. It is not available on Wednesdays but we survived 😂. Selection each day was very tasty and more than enough as an early and light dinner with healthy choices and soup of the day. On the 4th floor there is a small infinity pool overlooking the valley, a steam bath, sauna, relaxation area so if you want to chill for an afternoon it is ideal. The lobby area is a great place to sit and enjoy a drink with a variety of seating options. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the valley and a spacious balcony. Enjoyed a sit down simply enjoying the view on many occasions. Staff were very friendly and served us with a smile and accommodated whatever we asked for. Owners did a great job with setting up every detail and it is obvious they put their heart in it. It’s one of those places where you would gladly return for a second visit which I am tempted to do.

We recently stayed at La Cort and genuinely cannot praise it highly enough! My favourite hotel I have ever stayed in. ||Location - La Cort sits just above Ortisei, giving it really beautiful views from the rooms, restaurant and spa. It’s only ten minutes by car into town, but you could easily stay here without a car. The bus stops right outside the door and you get tickets allowing you to use it for free when you check in. We chose to get the bus rather than drive when getting the cable car to Secëda and Alpe Di Siusi as it was so handy and left in time to catch the first cable car! The bus also runs in the evening so getting into town is not an issue at any time of day. ||Food - the food here is INCREDIBLE. Delicious breakfast served from 7.30 all the way through to 11am. The pastries and pancakes are made fresh and the coffee is delicious. Linner which runs from 4-7 is this magical combination of hearty hot food like salmon and potatoes or pasta and soup, cold meats and cheeses, tonnes of tasty salads AND a range of desserts. Everything is so delicious and linner is not any extra charge. You will not need dinner! It’s also at the perfect time if you have been out all day hiking. There is also an honesty bar / snack shack after hours, so if you arrived at any time of night you could still get a snack and a drink. The food was the best I have ever had in any hotel. ||Spa - the spa is small but perfect. It also stays open till 9pm which is so great when you’ve hiked all day then feasted at linner - you just lay there and relax till bedtime! The infinity pool and sauna have panoramic views of the surrounding mountains making it so peaceful. There is also cold water, hot water and a range of juices and hot teas for free. If you fancy an alcoholic drink you can purchase these too. ||The hotel owners are friendly and helpful, and the whole place has a really homely and friendly feel to it, while also managing to feel contemporary and cool. ||Book it, it’s the best...
