Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price
Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was very disappointing and did not justify the price we paid.
Poor Customer Service: There are no phones in the rooms, which means there is no way to contact the reception for any issues. When we asked about it at the front desk, they were surprised by the question, showing a complete lack of consideration for guests. On top of that, we had to ask for slippers—something that should be provided automatically in a hotel of this level.
Uncomfortable Room Experience: The minibar was completely empty—not even water or drinks for purchase. There were no glasses in the room, so even if you bought a drink from the bar, you had no way to enjoy it in your room. Shampoo and conditioner were not replenished daily, and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
Terrible Food Quality & Ridiculous Half-Board Policy: The food was disappointing every single day—both breakfast and dinner. Considering the high price we paid, we expected much better, but instead, the meals were below hostel standards. To make things worse, despite paying for a half-board stay, dinner did not include even basic drinks—not even water! It is absurd to charge guests extra for something so fundamental.
Spa Facilities Not Worth It: The hotel advertises spa services, but in reality, there was only one masseuse available. Despite staying for a full week, there was only one available time slot the entire time! When we finally had a massage, it was far from relaxing—the masseuse’s hands were rough and unpleasant.
Freezing Pool: One of the biggest disappointments was the pool. The water was absolutely freezing, making it impossible to enjoy. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury destination, this was unacceptable.
Bottom Line: Not Recommended. The service is lacking, the comfort is poor, the food is subpar, the pool is unusable, and the facilities don’t justify the cost. We won’t be coming back, and we wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreWe stayed 5 nights to enjoy winter sports of skiing, hiking and snow shoeing. Great to have an underground car garage. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms, Suite Dolomiti, with views of Sassolungo. You can’t beat opening your curtains in the morning to see the mountains and blue skies. Plenty of hanging and drawer space for all our clothes, ski wear and shoes. Underfloor heating in the bathroom. Water from the tap was excellent for drinking. Loved the bath, perfect to soak aching muscles. Julia on reception could answer all our questions regarding timings for walking to different places on the Alpe, bus info etc Some receptionists were not as informed. Plenty of choice on the buffet breakfast, plus the waiters would ask if you wanted any cooked eggs/bacon. Excellent taste on the espresso, which you make yourself, along with other styles of coffee and hot chocolate. You receive the dinner menu at breakfast, to make yourself selection of starter,, main and dessert. There is also a full salad and vegetable buffet, breads, meat and cheese. We were also served kindly by Petra and Rahul, who was kept incredibly busy with the many large groups of people (It was the German school half term). We only used the swimming pool once. The jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pool were full of young children, which did not give a calm and peaceful vibe at all. Also, the water is not very warm, so staying in the outdoor pool in winter did not feel comfortable. There is an adult only area (naked) with some small sauna, steam room, although the outdoor sauna is larger. The Florian lift and the Alpe bus stop is very close by, making access to the rest of the area very easy for skiing and hiking. You can hike to Zallinger from the hotel. You can also hike and Nordic ski from the rear of the hotel. The whole area is simply stunning. Views, views, views. We...
Read moreWe've just finished our 4th winter vacations in hotel Saltria. As every year our experience was 5 out of 5. This is one of last Alpe di Siusi hotels with true Tyrolean style and atmosphere. Service is fantastic (Petra, you are the best!) and food as well. Facilities are all that we look for with great restaurant, bar and top-notch SPA with a pool.
Three is a choice of newly renovated as well as older rooms. We stayed in room Alpe that is awaiting that renovation but all was good - the room was clean, specious and comfy.
Getting on the slopes is easy – 200m away are ski lifts of Florian and Florapina that are your entrance to rest of the Alpe di Siusi. If you want to experience other ski areas of Val Gardena there ia a bus stop at the front of the hotel that connects to Monte Pana from where you can get to Sella Ronda or Seceda. Simply, the hotel has unbeatable location.
I thank the hotel staff for taking care of us and already can’t wait to see you next...
