I love it when I get to write great reviews about great places and this place is one of them! My family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in May as our 'base camp' for exploring Tuscany and we could not have been happier with our experience. From the early months of planning our stay with Neomi, right through our sad goodbye, Neomi and Christiano could not have been more wonderful and accommodating hosts. She learned that we were traveling with our adult son and daughter and recommended an apartment setup that allowed us plenty of room, comfort and privacy. Upon hearing that my daughter is vegan and my wife a vegetarian, she made sure that the breakfast options included enough choices to make everyone happy (even made us a special vegan cake for breakfast!!). This location is in the shadows of Sam Gimignano and close to other wonderful Tuscany locations. I strongly recommend renting a car if staying here as it will give you much more freedom to travel the surrounding countryside. The pool is a great place to spend the late afternoon after a trip to see the sights and the bar on site makes for a great Happy Hour.....wine selection is excellent and inexpensive!! You will wonder why the cost is not more for this wonderful B&B!! I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did and thanks to our wonderful hosts, Neomi and Christiano! We hope to return in the future....Oh and BTW, there is a great restaurant just up the driveway from La Fornace...make sure you dine there at...
Read moreGood location, pretty place with surrounding vineyard & olive groves, comfortable room, owners & staff were courteous, friendly, & helpful with suggestions & advice. Everyone was approachable & easy to speak with.||||Although there are no staff on the premises after 2000, the owners live down the road & are a phone call away.||||The only thing was the bathroom door did not stay closed properly & needed to be fixed, but, we were able to use the a small wooden stool to keep it closed so it was not an issue.||||Breakfast was fresh, sweet, & delicious: local fruits, meats, & cheeses. The owners bake & serve different delicous cakes daily.||||The breakfast, coffee, cappuccino, & espresso were the best we had during our entire Italy stay❣||||The owners are coffee experts & clean their machine between each cup brewed. They are flavorful & smooth tasting. You can taste the quality & difference.||||There was a pool we did not have time to enjoy but it looked clean & well maintained.||||Parking was free.||||There is a pizza place just down the road (maybe 5 minutes walk).||||My only regret was we did not stay longer. I would love to...
Read moreWe had a truly wonderful stay at this charming B&B near San Gimignano. The property is set in a beautifully location, surrounded by olive groves, perfect for peaceful walks. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and exceptionally clean.
The breakfast was a highlight: delicious homemade treats served in a cozy, beautifully decorated dining room. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
Occasionally, you might be lucky enough to meet their super sweet dogs, an extra treat for animal lovers!
The garden offers stunning views of San Gimignano’s iconic towers, and the pool is spotless and inviting. Covered parking is available directly on the property, which was a great bonus.
A perfect place to relax and enjoy the Tuscan countryside; highly...
