Agriturismo Il Casolare di Bucciano — Hotel in San Gimignano

We were on vacation for 7 nights, the location is great for daily trips to nearby towns. San Gimignano is also a short walk away. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, the surroundings are beautiful, the pool is clean. The hotel also offers 4-course Tuscan tasting dinners, which we took advantage of - they were cooked by the lovely housewives and really excellent. The only problem is that we are not used to eating 4 courses from 8 to 10 pm and also drinking, for people who are used to having less dinner it is extreme and the stomach is full even after midnight... they could definitely consider including one, two courses... and earlier, so we were forced to go eat elsewhere where they cook earlier. Breakfast was tasty, but monotonous, the same selection all around, too little fruit... only melon... this did not suit us. But the overall experience and environment, if anything, we really liked it and we were satisfied. I don't understand people who say bad things about the staff, it's not a 5 star hotel, they are people like us and they do what they know. definitely worth a visit

The best part of our trip! We landed in Venice where we stayed 4 days. If I knew how much I’d love it here though, I would’ve loved to come here a day earlier. The entire place is spotless, with daily housekeeping.| You start the day, with an amazing spread of food for breakfast.|Hospitable, and wonderful owners always smiling and happy. who cook all the delicious homemade authentic Italian dishes and, make you feel like part of their family. |Dinner is served at 8 pm, which gives you times to do all the day trips you’d like to, and make it back for a nap, or swim before your delicious homemade 4 course dinner every night. |You see the farmer working is fields during the day, and in the evening he comes in with a big smile for dinner after his guests are fed. He dines with his family and staff, such a perfect family atmosphere, we loved seeing that.|Breathtaking views from our bedroom window of San Gimignano, and room our bathroom, you overlook the vineyards.. both breathtaking sights to see. Finalmente, dopo molto, tornavamo nella nostra amata Toscana ma purtroppo il soggiorno in questa struttura è stato a dir poco pessimo!!! Abbiamo alloggiato in una suite, in quanto era l'unica tripla disponibile e questa è stata la nostra sfortuna. Innanzi tutto non ha nessun servizio previsto da una suite e solo le dimensioni maggiori giustificano questa classificazione. Molte cose sarebbero da rivedere assolutamente come la doccia e la pulizia ma mai avrei fatto una recensione così negativa solo per questo, ma non posso proprio sorvolare sulla caldaia montata in camera, quello proprio NO!!! Avete capito bene, la caldaia che normalmente viene alloggiata esternamente o al massimo in una cucina, è in camera e non ha neppure un mobile che la contenga per poter attutirne i rumori, è semplicemente appesa ad una parete!!! La prima notte calcolando che si accendeva ogni 3 - 10 minuti, dormire era praticamente impossibile, anche per mio marito che normalmente non sente neanche le cannonate, abbiamo così deciso di staccare il contatore e rimanere senza luce. La mattina seguente lo abbiamo fatto presente alla proprietaria ma nulla, eravamo i primi a lamentarci (non ci crederò mai) quindi non avevano soluzioni, dovevamo adeguarci. Ho chiesto allora di poter cambiare stanza ma non ce n'erano disponibili. Per le successive due notti abbiamo sempre staccato la luce, ho dovuto comprare un accumulatore di corrente portatile per poter caricare i cellulari e l'ultima notte (11 ottobre 2020 dopo un temporale) posso assicurarvi che faceva davvero freddo!!! Per chiudere in bellezza, l'ultima notte con il temporale, si è parzialmente allagata la nostra camera ed è entrata tantissima acqua da una porta finestra sicuramente montata male!!!! L'acqua è arrivava fino al bagno e mia figlia, che si era svegliata a causa del freddo, nell'andare in bagno (ovviamente al buio visto che la luce era staccata) ha fatto un fantastico volo!!! Ovviamente anche questo "piccolo" inconveniente è stato riferito la mattina seguente , e dalla loro espressione era evidente che non era la prima volta, ma anche questa volta nulla!!!! Abbiamo pagato tutto, stupidamente ho anche comprato il loro vino, e non ho sentito da loro una sola scusa, un briciolo di vicinanza per il disagio che abbiamo subito, 1 euro di sconto ............NIENTE DI NIENTE!!!!! E' proprio vero che non tutti nascono per lavorare a contatto con le persone, bastava poco, davvero poco e mai avrei scritto una recensione tanto negativa in quanto ho enorme rispetto per chi lavora ma il loro menefreghismo nei nostri confronti non è tollerabile. Per fortuna nei nostri viaggi questa è stata la prima volta..... Nota positiva è sicuramente la location e il signore che ci ha servito la cena, un cameriere improbabile con le mani "sporche" di lavoro e macchiate dal vino ma con un sorriso, una cordialità e una genuinità che ricorderemo sempre...
