We keep forgetting that in Italy, there is a different concept of sufficient space. We have been to 3 different hotels in Italy, totally different categories and areas, and all of them were much much smaller than what we expected for the money. ||||Princess was no exception. The 'apartments' (a 22-24 sqm room divided in half to make it two rooms), were so small that with beds unfolded, there was just enough room to sneak between them.||||In case of Princess, which is a beach hotel, the small size of the rooms could perhaps be justified cause maybe they think their guests do not spend a lot of time inside. However, with small kids, one has to stay inside for 4-5 hours in the middle of the day (when the sun is highest and most dangerous), also, when weather is bad (which happened to us one day) - and then the size of the room becomes a huge issue.|||| The overall condition of the building was not bad, however, cooking appliances were not working well, and some other minor problems existed with sockets, lights, water etc. Shower cabins were really small. ||||However, there are quite a few bright sides also - air conditioning was working very well in both apartments we had (quiet, yet efficient cooling). Breakfast was not large in selection but they were refreshing everything very often, so everything was very fresh and we didn't have to wait. Staff were friendly though stumbling over english words.||||Rooms are pretty much sound-proof from the street and from each other, but not from the corridor - apparently because the apartment doors are so slim. You can hear every word spoken in the corridor and even some from the stairs.||||Cleaning was good but a bit driven by their own concept of what is OK and not-OK to do. In one case they left a sofa cover folded and put on top of bunch of clean underwear.||||Overall, it's not a bad place - considering the location (second lane from see), free parking right at the hotel, and also free beach tickets. It's just hard for me to accept 250 euro/night for the size and quality of the room.||||Sleeping quality was not bad with full-time beds but very inferior with fold-away beds...
Read moreI spent my holiday at this hotel with my family (two children) this year and I am delighted. Great location, basically right next to the beach - I could see the sea from my balcony, yet very close to shops and restaurants. Excellent and very committed hotel staff - they helped, advised, answered questions. I arrived by car and used the car park - no problem at all. Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of choice, including lots of fruit and cakes (tarts, cookies, doughnuts, croissants). At the end I received a small farewell gift from them - cookies and a jar of plum jam - the gift surprised me and undoubtedly created further positive emotions. It was not my first stay in Italy, but certainly the best. I would definitely go back...
Read moreWe were in the Aurora Apartments which can use the Hotel Princess pool etc. Very late booking but had a great two bedroom apartment with all facilities including a very useful washing machine. Bibione is great for families with the mainstreet closed to traffic after 7pm and lots of bars and restuarants as well as late night shopping. We loved the place and the Princess Hotel is perfectly placed for beach and town while being in a quiet area, Special mention to Etnik Cafe nearby who provided an excellent takeaway proper coffer each morning and to Summer Market next door who welcome tourist and charge...
