Riviera Ionica — Hotel in Santa Teresa di Riva

Attention! Not all the photos posted on the Internet are true. At the hotel does not pull, just for the night. Is located on the outskirts of the city, far from the center. Around the night abandoned, ruined houses, with broken roofs and shattered facades, the impression of this depressing. Around a lot of debris, all shabby. The building overnight common wall with a car wash and workshop for trucks and is therefore constantly crashing. The building is located in front of the police department, but it does not interfere with the way guests. Too intrusive hosts, constantly pestered with questions whether all is well, but for the guests to their questions is not added. The rooms are not cleaned, guests must clean their own room, and sort out the garbage. Cleaning utensils, rags and garbage bags in the inn are not issued, must be purchased at their own expense. Linens and towels are changed only for the money. Chaise lounge on the beach for an extra charge. breakfast waiting 15-30 minutes or more. We booked a sea view room at Riviera Jonica expecting a beautiful view. While the sea is visible in the distance, it is unfortunately overshadowed by an unfinished part of the building and another old, run-down building directly outside the window.

Additionally, the reception desk is not staffed during the hours described on their website, which resulted in inconvenience.

Another point of disappointment was the breakfast. We specifically ordered non-sweet food, which seemed to be an exception from their primarily sweet offerings. Unfortunately, we ended up with stomach aches after eating it.

Given these issues, our stay was far from the relaxing getaway we had envisioned. Future guests may want to keep these points in mind when considering...

Wonderful and special person, Fabio, made us feel real guests. Nothing was impossible to him, for satisfying us. The accomodation in a two rooms apartment, all new, including washing machine, with 2! air conditioning systems, and a huge balcony "watching" to the sea, at the 4-th floor with elevator, was perfect. The food(breakfast and dinner), was extremely special, with sicilian flavours, fish, pizza, pasta and icecream based. And.. a lot. Highly recommended!No words can describe the reality.
