Just back from a delightful stay at Residence Panorama (apartments above Hotel Mae and operated by the same family) while skiing in Civetta with my two sons. Our stay was very comfortable and very moderately priced offering excellent value.||||Per the hotel web-site, it's about 1.2km from the Pecol gondola. However the hotel offers hire of a secure ski-locker for 3-persons for €30 per week which includes a minibus transfer (on demand, morning and late afternoon) to and from the main ski-lift station for hotel guests and apartment residents can buy into this service. We found this to be extremely convenient and excellent value.||||The Hotel Mae/Residence Panorama is set back from (and above) the main road so it's nice and quiet and enjoys beautiful views from both sides. There is a small but well stocked supermarket within about 300m [fairly level] walk. The apartment was spacious, clean, well-appointed, warm and comfortable. The kitchenette was equipped with microwave, dishwasher and a full range of top quality pots, pans, serving dishes and crockery. There was a lovely balcony (accessible from the living room and bedroom) and the bathroom featured a powerful shower with no shortage of hot water. The apartments are reached via a separate dedicated lift at the rear of the hotel and guests use the same car park. The hotel bar and lounge (with free wi-fi) is available to use by apartment guests who can also take a 3-course evening meal in the hotel restaurant for €22 pppn if required.||||However most of all, the proprietors Elisabetta and Alberto, went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and nothing was too much trouble for them. I wouldn't hesitate to...

We are a young family from Munich with two small children (aged 2 and 3), and we just spent a magical 7 days at Hotel Panorama Mae in Val di Zoldo. We can genuinely say it was one of the most memorable stays we've ever had!
The hotel is immaculately clean, the food is absolutely delicious (every single meal was a treat!), and most importantly, the hospitality we received was truly heartwarming. The owner, Elisabetta, is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. It’s a family-run hotel, and you can feel the warmth and care in every detail — from the way the rooms are prepared to the way the entire family treats guests like part of their own.
The location is breathtaking — nestled in the beautiful Dolomites, with panoramic mountain views right outside your window. It's quiet, peaceful, and perfectly positioned for exploring nearby trails, lakes, and scenic spots — yet still very child-friendly, which was a big plus for us.
If you're looking for an authentic, cozy, and family-oriented stay without the crowds and the crazy prices in the Dolomites, we wholeheartedly recommend Panorama Mae. Thank you, Elisabetta and family, for making us feel so welcome — we’ll...
Read moreStayed here for five days recently and had the most wonderful time. It’s a quiet, family run and family orientated hotel within about 1.3 km of the main ski lift at Pecol/Zoldo which connects into the lovely Civetta ski area. Don’t worry about the distance as the hotel runs its own minibus and will ferry you to and from the slopes on demand - just a five minute ride.
I had stated previously about six years ago in the Panorama residence apartments at the hotel (run by the same people) and was happy to return but this time as a hotel guest. The hotel has a comfortable lounge and bar and a sauna at the back although we didn’t try it.
We opted for half-board. There is a lovely breakfast buffet with a range of pastries, cereals, bread, cheese, cold meats etc. Evening meals are selected from a limited table d’hote menu but the meals are hearty, of high-quality and freshly prepared by the chef. They include many local delicacies and, being a small hotel, they were able to cater for our needs as vegetarians very well.
Elisabetta, her husband and excellent team couldn’t of tried harder to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. It really felt like being at home in the mountains. We will certainly...
