Dream B&B was a great little find that is in the perfect location for access to the airport, train station, huge shopping mall (Valecenter) & Venice. The nearby bus stops make it easy & cheap to travel to these places - just use Google maps to tap on the bus stops & see the routes and times. Tap your card when getting on & off which makes travelling around so stress-free, you don't need to worry about buying tickets in advance.
Dream B&B is hidden at the end of a residential road behind secure electric gates, which looks to have parking for maybe 8 cars on the large gravel drive.
I was warmly met by Fabrizio, the owner. He was so kind & his English so much better than my poor Italian speaking skills. He explained everything I needed to know, regarding the keycard, breakfast etc. Then I was met by his lovely wife Alla, who was equally as friendly but spoke better English. She was able to give me more specific advice such as the best way to reach Venice & the Valecentre.
Alla showed me to my room. It seems like there were only about 4 or 5 rooms here. I had one on the 2nd floor. It was a large, spacious family room with a huge double bed & also a single. It had a fridge with a small bottle of water in. There was only me staying so I had plenty of space! It had a nice balcony with tables & chairs to sit out. The bathroom was also large - had a shower cubicle, toilet, bidet & basin. The shower took a few minutes before it got warm but that was ok. I was very pleased with the clean room & the wifi had a good signal.
Dream B&B is in a small village, Dese, so there doesn't seem to be much choice in walking distance for dinner. Via Google I could see maybe 2 restaurants & 1 bar I could've walked to. What I did was jump on the 9E bus & 5 minutes later was at a modern indoor shopping mall called Valecenter. This has many places to eat & even has a massive supermarket inside, which contains loads of fresh produce counters - highly recommend. For my dinner I went to Alice Pizza Al Taglio. It is mainly a takeaway place but you can sit & eat at the communal tables. They sell pizza slices by weight! Just ask the guy which of the many pizzas on display you fancy, he demonstrates roughly what size he should cut off, puts them on the scales & if you're happy, plates it up! I was stuffed with 3 types of pizza for €12! Would highly recommend! There are also plenty of dessert places too - I had gelatos, tiramisu & coffee - non were too expensive. Then got some olives, cheese & an arancini from the deli counters in the supermarket.
Back at the B&B I had a look round the back at the tidy garden which had a few tables & chairs to sit on. I chilled out there for a bit, eating my cheese & olives, enjoying the peace of the evening. The B&B was very quiet - I didn't see anyone else at all except Fabrizio & Alla.
Breakfast is served from 7.30. I went downstairs to the office/reception room & was greeted by Fabrizio who made me a wonderful coffee & offered a selection on pre-packed croissants & other pastry bits. The room has many interesting items to look at & some bits you could buy. I quickly drank my coffee, eat a croissant & headed to the busstop to catch the 84 to Venice. Took about 40 mins on the bus & I don't think I've even been charged my travel yet? Strange? I'm not sure if the locals have some sort of bus pass but hardly anyone else bothered tapping so I'm sure they weren't paying & the bus drivers didn't care.
Anyway, had a nice day in Venice, had a 2nd lovely night in the B&B & checked out the following morning. All in all, this was a great B&B offering good value for money, excellent location & hosts that would happily do anything for you. I would highly recommend this place - thankyou so much Alla & Fabrizio!! ❤️

Read moreThis was a convenient, well-priced deal for my travel companions and me. It exceeded our expectations for the price point and offered many services within a short distance. We didn’t go in to Central Venice, but it appeared simple enough to do so.||||Our hosts were lovely and accommodating, printing out a few documents we needed and offering useful advice where to go for pleasant meals.
