Picked this Hotel as a stop for my excursion around Kurumayama and Kirigamine. ||||Have to say the photos shown in the Hotel's website do not quite reflect the actual condition. The Hotel, whilst maintained reasonably well, is in fact quite aged, and the whole building smells of those traditional onsen hotel from a few decades ago. ||||Not something I had expected. My Semi Western-Style Room is spacious (all rooms are spacious, really, compared to those in cities like Tokyo), with minimal amenities. ||||I made use of the coin-laundry room and also borrowed iron and iron board from the front desk. ||||The public bath with an open-air onsen was nice but not particular impressively. ||||Breakfast buffet was average, nothing spectacular. Just what you would expect from this style of hotels. ||||Staff was reasonably polite. ||||I suppose there are other accommodation choices around the vicinity and am not sure if Skypark is the best amongst them. ||||I would give it...

Read moreIt will be a top candidate again for the next visit in Kurumayama, for our family with a 6 yo kid.||||Frequent shuttles take you right in front of the ski area, in about 5 min.||Everyday our kid enjoyed swimming after skiing before dinner, while a parent could take a break.||The onsen spa healed me very well, with beautiful landscape especially in sunrise/sunset.||The buffet for dinner and breakfast was good enough for family, while it might not be romantic very much.||The hotel was nicely tidy and clean.||It was warm enough to stay in short pants and T-shirt.||A gift store had good variation of the local products.||The hotel service was good enough.||The hotel looked wheel chair friendly.||While no wifi signal was found, SoftBankMobile 4G was available.
