I was always interested to stay at a cottage of this resort, and to avoid the heat in the central Tokyo still persisting in Sept. we decided to book one cottage room, || ||We had a very good time at this greenery resort. However, I would not return paying more. I am happy with what we paid (discounted to less than 30000 yen with breakfast included), but I am aware the same cottage cost one month earlier in the high season more than double. ||||Our cottage was twin bedded, each bed being 120cm wide, not large. (Two rooms in one cottage.) One tired sofa bed and a table. One writing desk with a chair with hole burnt by a cigarette. The cottage did not smell cigarette. ||||I found our balcony too small. Larger cottages and balconies for family guests seem to be available. ||||The bathtub looked dated and something I would hesitate to take a bath in, but I did not care as I used the hotel's public bath (a few min. walk from the cottage).||||The public bath was ordinary (but good enough) as seen at other Tokyu hotels and resorts.||||Some machine-like low noise annoyed me a bit at the begining of my sleeping: extractor fan? next door? ||||Breakfast was very good. I chose Japanese breakfast. ||||I liked the cottage and the services, but feel their full rate is rather overpriced, especially in the high season.||||I recommend this hotel to a friend but with an...
Read moreThis was our 2nd stay. The first was in a room in the main building, and the 2nd was in a streamside 2-bedroom cabin with our toy poodle. In spite of some minor quibbles about getting timely service in the cabin, we thoroughly enjoyed both our stays. Our room had a beautiful view looking toward the lake, and the view of the trees and stream from the cabin was magnificent. The relaxation that came from being in our own cabin, and surrounded by greenery, while being serenaded by the sound of the stream was nothing short of wonderful. We very much enjoyed wandering around the beautiful and well maintained grounds on both occasions. Next time, we will probably stay in their other facility perched up on top of the cliff - and from which the views are breathtaking. We brought our own food and ate out, so I can't comment on the restaurants/food. Also, for those who need a fast and reliable wifi connection, for a small fee, there is a dedicated facility which includes a large open space as well as 2 small and one larger...
Read moreI stayed here for one night in September. It is one of the hotels in Tokyu Resort, and the hot spring is in a separate building. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, but there is also a shuttle bus service available, so you don't have to worry about bad weather or cold days.||The hotel was built many years ago, and although the facilities are old, they are well maintained and there are no particular inconveniences or concerns. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.|We had a French course for dinner.|Everything looked and tasted wonderful. I was concerned about the water glasses used in the restaurant and asked the staff about it.|Breakfast is not a buffet, but a choice of Western or Japanese set meals.|I chose the Japanese set meal, and there was a sufficient amount and variety of side dishes.|I would like to visit this hotel...
