The hotel was originally booked for me for five nights but just before arrival I discovered that I could only stay the first and the last night. The receptionist made no fuss at all and accepted cancellation at no extra cost. As in all business hotels, the room was small but had everything that a hotel room should have - a comfortable bed, a fridge, kettle, small TV, bathroom and wi-fi (cable on loan at no cost from reception).I rated the hotel as average as it would certainly benefit from some refurbishment. But I would certainly give Iris Inn Chiryu many more points for politeness and helpfulness of the receptionists (even if they could only just about communicate in English). Continental breakfast served in the lobby. Vending machine with soft drinks and inexpensive canned beer.
