Hotel Okukujikan — Hotel in Daigo

The hotel is a little dated but the rooms were clean and fresh ammenities provided daily (housekeeping leaves a fresh bag on your door). I stayed for 2 days and slept quite well. Each room has a private restroom and a split unit AC. There are welcome snacks left on the table and refrigerator. Also, there is a small safe in the room for your belongings however, I did not need it since Japan is relatively honest and safe. ||I am not comfortable going into an onsen with many people so I waited till 1 pm when most guests have already checked out and the onsen was cleaned. I was in the onsen by myself and I loved it! There is an indoor and outdoor onsen. I prefer the outdoor onsen which was very relaxing and quiet as I looked at the trees and listened to the wind rustling its leaves. Please note that one would need to follow onsen etiquette. As for tattoos, this onsen allowed a friend of mine to enter the onsen with her tattoos...actually, she did not care if anyone noticed her tattoos, she just walked in and enjoyed the onsen even as others were present...noone made an issue of her tattoos.||The buffet lunch and dinner was not as spectacular as I would have liked. Items were cold and some were bland. However, the alcohol was free and flowing...so, if you enjoy a drink, you can have some Asahi on tap, sake, and whiskey. There was also a variety of sodas, juices, coffee (iced and hot), tea and dessert.||Near the dining area there is also some massage chairs that you can pay to use and a game room which has Pachinko machines, table tennis and some arcade games. On the first floor there is a Karaoke room.||Overall, I enjoyed my stay. It was relaxing...

星つけたくないくらい今までのホテルでダントツで最悪でした。 いくら安くても汚くていい訳では無い 手入れが出来ません 失礼ですがはっきり言って外観廃墟

［部屋］ 他のクチコミにも書いてありますが エアコンが汚い。 何より部屋が怖いくらいボロくて汚い 入った瞬間｢いやぁぁあ！｣ってくらい古くて怖いです。 部屋に入ると布団が既に敷いてあり 湿度が凄く布団が濡れてる？ じめっとしてます。

①畳の部屋が2つ繋がっていて仕切れるのかと思ったら襖が足りなく半分開いてる状態。 ②古いトイレで汚く古く虫がいて入りたくない ③部屋の奥窓側に洗面所があるが何故そこに？ 古い家に来てるかのよう。

至る所の清掃がされてなく ホコリが溜まっている お金を払って泊まるとこではないとここで思いました。

［受付］ そもそも受付の方の態度が無い 従業員とお客様ですよ お客様は神様と言ってる訳ではありません 最低限の接客がありますよね？ こちらでは基本的なことも教育していないのでしょうか？ ましてや受付はホテルに入って一番最初、そこがホテルの始まりなのに一気に気分ダウン。 お年を召した女性でしたが あ～、早く早くみたいな それはタッチペンでね押してもらって～ それでね～ みたいなゆるーい、知り合いじゃないんだから。 説明も早くて雑、他に並んでる訳でもないのに。 もうね、この値段でやすいからね、そのクーポンはね。 って鼻で笑いながら言われて 気分悪かったですね。

［食事］ 食事はビュッフェスタイル 時間は選べず指定されました 内容は酷くは無いですよ夕はお酒もあり 海鮮は微妙だし少ないので控えました。 夕、朝ともに思ってたよりはいいかなぐらいです。 他の伊東園ホテルの中だと中の下です。 蓋を開けるタイプのやつで蓋閉めようとしたら 待って！閉めないでください！ と言われビックリしたら 少ないから取り替えるみたいで だったら閉めたあと自分で開けて持っていけばいいじゃないですか？ 何をそのままでいいよ！丁度持ってくから！ みたいな感じ。男の方で会場を仕切ってるみたいな人でしたね その人見かけるときになって嫌でした。 他の方の方がちゃんと働いていらっしゃいました。

［清掃？］ いちばんびっくりしたのが朝10時前 部屋にいたら私が鍵を閉め忘れていたのか(ドアは閉めていた) 鍵がガチャっと開き まだいた、すみませんでした～ って、、、

そんなことあります？ 勝手に部屋開けて、まだいたの？すみませ～ん っておばちゃんの声でした。 すぐ外でたら内線かなんかで〇〇号室と〇〇号室...

A bit run down, and cleaning staff don't seem to know how to remove mold from around the bathroom taps, maybe they don't sell bleach in this town? 😀
