Ebino Plateau Camp Village — Hotel in Ebino

This campground is located within easy walking distance of the visitor center for the hike up Mount Kirishima. If you're planning on climbing the mountain and looking for a place to stay, this campground is a wonderful choice. It's rather large, the prices are low, and the location is ideal.

Unlike many campgrounds, you can contact the office for this one via LINE chat, so it's very easy to make reservations. You should make reservations if it's a summer weekend, just in case they fill up. I stayed in the free tent area and was quite happy with it. There are two locations for free camping, one is in a protected valley which would be good if the winds are strong and your gear is questionable, or if you have a lot of gear, and the other is up on the hillside, which will give you better views if the weather is good. You cannot drive your car up to the campsites. However, there are carts that you can use to ferry gear.

The campground has covered cooking areas, picnic tables, benches, and a fairly new bathhouse that looks wonderful. There is one vending machine on site, but you'll want to do most of your shopping before you come up to the mountains. The convenience store up at the lodge sells some food, but selection is limited and they close...

• Great campsite plots • On our visit, we were the only ones there for two nights. • Slightly overpriced, given there are no shower facilities, just a toilet and sink with cold water only. However a discount voucher for a nearby hotel onsen is provided (the Onsen isn't very nice). • The site manager is rather grumpy. • Very limited supplies available in the area - the hotel nearby has some crisps and snacks, but will not allow you to eat in their restaurant!? • Nearest town where there are supplies is 20min drive away. • The hikes available in the Ebino Plato are okay, but not brilliant. • Coffee shop and restaurant at the Eco Centre close at 5pm • The area sadly felt like a real...

2022年10月中旬土日テント1泊利用。

【場所取り】 韓国岳が見える場所を確保するべくチェックイン開始14時に対して、13時過ぎにキャンプ場入り。しかしすでに3組ほど場所取りをしていた。ただまだ前述の環境を実現する場所は空いていたので幸い場所を確保できた。⛺️

チェックイン前に場所取りをしていた組の様子を見ると、13時時点でテント等キャンプ道具をすでに車から運びサイトに配置。中にはイスを広げそこで事前に作ったか購入し持参した昼食を食べながら場所取りをしている組あり。

13時半頃になると周り数組がテントを立て始めたので私達も組み立てを開始。最終的にテント設営終えひと息ついて14時半頃チェックイン。

そのため韓国岳や硫黄岳を望む場所確保のためには保険で12時くらいに来るのがいいかもしれない。⏰

そこでコンビニや麓のお店でテイクアウトした昼食を食べながら場所取りをすれば時間も有効活用できるのではないか。(この時コンビニご飯等では味気ない方は、例えば霧島観光ホテルや丸尾滝などがある麓エリアには、”森のパン屋さん”と”ベーカリーシナモン”と2件パン屋さんがありおすすめ。)

一応14時チェックインであり正式に許されるのかは不明ですが、皆さまがよりよいキャンプ体験をできればと思います。🍞

【温泉】 当時敷地内温泉は前月の台風で故障中。そのため近くピコラナイの特別入浴券を大人1人800円で提供。車でも行けるが夜20時頃徒歩で向かった。焚火用の枝を拾いがてら日中のうちに浴場までのルートを確認済み。🚶🏻

この特別入浴券は対象時間内1回のみ使用可能。通常の日帰り入浴と異なり、宿泊客とみなされ入浴自体は日中に夜それから翌朝もできるが、利用できるのは1回のみ。そこがホテル宿泊客とも異なる。800円の特別利用券を2枚購入すれば夜朝可能。1枚で夜と翌朝に入れれば理想的であった。♨️

ドライサウナと水風呂あり露天風呂横に木製ベンチもあり、足を延ばして仰向け外気浴可能。一般日帰りは17時までなので夜の時間帯は宿泊者のみで人が少なくよかった。

【その他】 徒歩圏内ピクニック広場や野外ステージに行けば空が開けており星空も楽しめる。流れ星を3、4回見た。また食材について、道の駅霧島ふもとの駅えがお市場で地元食材調達がおすすめ。前述の丸尾滝など麓エリアにもスーパーマーケットあり。⭐️
