I arrived in Hokkaido around 4 PM and chose to stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Eniwa, just a 30-minute drive from the airport. It's a simple hotel without a restaurant or hot springs, but it feels comfortable, and the views outside are lovely.||I checked in for two nights at the end of February. Although the hotel didn’t offer much for titanium elite status members, the front desk mentioned I could check out at 4 PM. However, we had plans, so we didn’t need that. The lobby features a cozy wood-themed design and provides a nice view of the snowy landscape. They offer free coffee and tea all day, along with paper cups and a microwave for guests to heat up food. They even have aluminum foil available, which is a thoughtful touch. It’s nice to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the scenery, and guests are welcome to bring their own food.||The parking lot is just 50 meters from the hotel and is free. I love this design; the noise from cars doesn’t disturb the main building or the rooms, making it extremely quiet at night for a good night’s sleep.||The room is simple and not very large, but the space is cleverly utilized! It includes a small sofa, a fridge, bedside tables on both sides of the bed, a round table, a clothes rack, and a luggage rack. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and the bathroom is very tidy. There’s no bathtub, just a small wash area outside, but the sliding door next to the bed separates the toilet area from the sleeping area, which I think is a great design.||That night, the temperature dropped to -2 degrees Celsius. The hotel doesn’t enforce heating, allowing guests to adjust it as they wish. You can set the air conditioning to 25 degrees, and there’s also an air purifier with a humidifying function in the room.||I have no complaints; I’m very satisfied. Later, I discovered on their website that the hotel has coin-operated laundry facilities. Since we only stayed for two nights, I didn’t know about it, but it wasn’t a big deal.||The hotel isn’t close to the subway or JR stations, making it more suitable for those driving. There are many delicious local eateries nearby, and a convenience store isn’t far away. I recommend this place for anyone catching late-night or very...
Read moreI’ve always wanted to visit Sapporo, Hokkaido, I finally got the chance to this December. I always try to stay at Bonvoy/ Marriott properties however the location in Sapporo city was booked, so I chose Eniwa. While it’s not in the city, the location is great. The hotel is located a short taxi ride from the train that connects the city with the airport. You can get to the hotel within 15 to 20 minutes from the airport or the city. The taxi ride to the hotel trol the station is about $10 US.||Now onto the hotel, the hotel. First and foremost, the staff. The staff was amazing, I felt like I was at a five star hotel., they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. ||The hotel itself is very new, the rooms are a little on the small side but very comfortable and immaculate. The bed was perfect, great pillows and sheets, I slept like a baby every night. Another thing that I loved about the hotel, during the winter most hotels in Japan turn off their air conditioning systems, us foreigners can’t handle the stuff rooms, now sure how the Japanese can. Fortunately, they leave their AC on year round! ||Thank you Fairfield Eniwa for a perfect stay! I can’t wait to...
