Richmond Hotel Higashi-Osaka deserves a full five stars! The hotel is spotless, and the staff can communicate well in English—even the older cleaning lady was friendly and helpful in English, which is rare in Japan.
There’s a free drink station available from 12:00 to 22:00, though on my visit it didn’t open exactly at 12:00 (it might actually start around 12:30), but still a nice touch!
Check-in and check-out times are much more flexible than at other hotels in Japan, which is very convenient for travelers who arrive early or leave late.
A washer-dryer machine with a lock system is beneficial and secure, especially for women. The TV in your room shows the machine's availability and the remaining washing and drying time.
The location is excellent—just steps from Nagata Station (Chuo Line subway). There is an elevator on the same side of the road, making it super convenient for travelers with luggage. Since it’s at the beginning of the line, you’ll almost always get a seat, even during busy hours, especially during the Expo Osaka 2025 period.
I’ll stay here again on my next...
Read moreIt was our first hotel ever in Japan during the first leg of our tour. It was cozy, clean, organized and modern. You don't really have to bring anything into this hotel because they can provide you with everything. The room is furnished with toiletries, big toiletries! Bottled water, slippers, even sleeping clothes! The toilet, wow, the toilet is very modern. Everything is just a touch of a button and the mirror? It never fogged! Only in Japan! Everything just amazed me. One night, we have decidee to turn all the lights inside our room, opened the curtains on our window and just stared at the highway with all its blinking lights and cars. It maybe be busy but somehow it exudes peace. I really like the food that they are serving during breakfast. The foods are all Japanese! I was really happy because everything that I would really love to try is served before us. It's a buffet type by the way but the foods are all delicious! The rice mixed with vegetable mountain is truly the best! Service is absolutely superb! The staff are very polite...
