HOTEL R9 The Yard 本庄 — Hotel in Honjo

Our room was not properly cleaned. Sheets weren’t changed after each tenant as we found period blood stains and boogers stuck on the bed sheet corner next to the pillow . The air conditioner light turned orange , couldn’t function and we saw the rollers were full of dust. It was too late when we discovered the dirty sheets as it was only after a few hours of check in that we saw it, and we really needed to sleep. And the air conditioner stopped working around midnight hours, but luckily we could open the window and slept in 10C. Location wise, plenty of conveniences nearby and that’s a plus point. Fantastic motel. Ideal of a stop off en route. May even be fine to stop for a few nights as a couple. You can park right outside the room too. Close to the JR line but we didn’t hear any trains overnight. Next to a supermarket. And you get tokens for frozen meals when you arrive which you can cook in the microwave in the room. Great hotel near many restaurants and convenience stores. The staff are so friendly and helpful at check in. We really needed the free frozen meal that was provided after our long drive. The room is clean and new and because it’s all one container you can’t hear anyone around you. We will def stay there again if we’re visiting near...
