Good location for those who wish to get away from it all for a few days. The aquarium and an up market shopping mall are about 15 to 20 minutes drive away.||What is amazing is that for the first time in 40 years of traveling, every staff member we came across greeted us. Their service attitude is remarkable, especially after the pandemic where pretty much every venue is under-staffed, and staff members might be stressed handling the volume of travelers with "new found freedom".||Four restaurants on site (not including bars) - we tried three of them. Very reasonable prices, ample seating (maybe because it is low season). Niji Teppanyaki excellent even though we read a bad review. The chef is skilled and very polite and spoke sufficient English for his position. The sommelier/server we had was knowledgeable and courteous. Seafood very fresh.||Big breakfast buffet with more than enough items for a 3 day stay. Japanese and western foods available. Plenty of drink choices.||We booked normal twin rooms which are spacious with good views. Nice balcony with sufficient outdoors furniture (don't sit for too long though because your back might hurt).||Beds lean towards the hard side so be careful if you are used to softer beds. Very good lighting in the room - you can choose mood lighting and turn off a couple of other lights to watch TV.||Bathroom amenities good and sufficient - face towels, body towels plus bath salts, etc. Bathtub nice if you are not too tall (over 175 cm). Shower pressure not high but sufficient. Good bathroom design with stone floors.||Please note that there are NO room service meals.||Two very good shops available on site. As there are no drinks in the bar fridge, one of the shops offer many different kinds of drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. Many different kinds of local beer and a small selection of bottled wine. You can get lots of different snacks, cup noodles, etc. They also offer a selection of Okinawa souvenirs. We bought some nicely designed glass-ware.||They have more than enough pools. Three of them are good for young kids. They even have a kid's playroom. If you enjoy swimming, this is a good place for you with direct access to the beach.||The spa provides very good body and facial treatments but don't expect pre-spa experiences like a vitality pool or steam rooms. They do have Premium Rooms which offer Jacuzzi Pools. Therapists with good skills and experience. Spa menu offers different combos and add-ons.||Check-in and check-out smooth and staff at Reception are very helpful and totally aware that their Concierge Desk is closed for the time being. Seeing us waiting in line for service, staff members would approach to see if they can help us.||All in all, a very good resort holiday. This is a place for a good rest or if you have a young family. Not so good for romantic couples though, as they may find energetic kids...
Read moreThere is literally nothing to do at the hotel. The service is not five stars whatsoever either. We are here on our honeymoon and have stayed all over Japan in 4-5 star hotels for the last few weeks and this is by far the most disappointing one. Being a five star and knowing it’s our honeymoon, they didn’t send anything special to the room or congratulate us like other properties did, which staying at 5 star resorts, you have a certain expectation. The look of the hotel is pretty, but that is as good as it gets. We had higher expectations for a 5 star Luxury hotel… which is our own issue I suppose. The club lounge that you pay extra for has good champagne, but everything else is very repetitive - same little pastries, and cold small bites that should be served hot.. I asked someone if I could get something heated and they said no. We asked for games, they said no.
Super unfortunate and wouldn’t recommend to pay the extra price - also they only serve taco flavored Doritos and potato chips with hersheys kisses throughout the day in the club lounge . No variety and no change in three days. They don’t serve dinner or lunch like they claim they do either. Like, maybe tea sandwiches or something substantial would be nice and was hoping to see some local cuisine put out, but cold pizza and cold bite sized eggs Benedict on a buffet is what you get.
This place is great if you have kids or if you like really cold pools or if it’s in the middle of summer, the pools are not heated so they’re quite icey. You can pay extra for the VIP pool that has a bar and nobody under 20 is allowed, however this pool sits empty and is by far the coldest.
They don’t have any games or anything to play at the front desk either so if you’re here as a couple, you’re stuck just drinking all day looking at the water because it’s too freezing to get in. If that’s what you enjoy, this place is perfect for you. They do have one pool that’s kind of heated, but there is a million kids in that one and there is only one hot tub that fits four people on the entire property. Our last hotel’s bathtub was larger than the one hot tub here.
Oh, and most the staff doesn’t speak English, we experienced better English speaking Japanese locals in other areas of Japan which was surprising.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful and the pools are nice to look at. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for a relaxing couple getaway, there are better areas with better service...
Read moreMy wife and I came here for our honeymoon and had mixed experiences. On one hand, the hotel complex is very beautiful and luxurious, but on the other hand, the location is quite remote, making it difficult to get anywhere else. If you wanted to explore other parts of the island, the bus ride would take several hours.
Additionally, the overall atmosphere was very loud and restless, as 90% of the guests had children with them. We had imagined a quiet and romantic vacation here, but instead, it felt more like being in a kindergarten.
Furthermore, the hotel's organization seemed a bit strange to us. We arrived about two days after a typhoon had passed over Okinawa, but we had calm and sunny weather. Nevertheless, the private beach was closed and inaccessible for the first four days of our stay. On the last day, they opened it, even though it was stormy and the waves were rough. Only my wife and I went into the water, and no one else.
For the first two days, the loungers by the pool were put away due to potential strong winds (which never came), and we were expected to lie on the ground after swimming or rent one of the expensive covered mattresses. We complained, especially because we were on our honeymoon, and were given a spot at the Oasis Pool. This pool was quiet and pleasant, without the noise of families and their children. However, these spots are quite expensive to rent, and there is no adults-only pool.
There are a few in-house restaurants, but the food can only be described as mediocre for a very high price. Only the soba restaurant was recommendable in terms of value for money.
We also had access to the Premier Club Lounge, where we could get breakfast and snacks or drinks at other times. However, until 5 p.m., there were also many children here, and it was just noisy.
Looking back, there is no indication anywhere that this hotel is a family resort.
In summary, it is a luxurious hotel complex in a remote location, which we would not recommend for a peaceful vacation due to the number of families...
