I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so unpleasant that I feel obligated to warn future guests. I booked this place because of the beautiful photos online and its supposedly “luxury” reputation. The lobby did look nice when I arrived — polished floors, soft lighting, and friendly front desk staff. For a moment, I thought I had made a good choice. That feeling lasted right up until I stepped into the elevator. The moment the doors opened, I was hit with a wave of something indescribably awful — a sour, musty, almost rotting smell that made my stomach turn. It was like wet dog mixed with spoiled food and moldy carpet. I thought maybe it was just that one elevator, so I held my breath, went up quickly, and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, every single elevator I used during my three-night stay had the same stench. Some were worse than others, but none were remotely acceptable for a hotel claiming to be four stars. I mentioned it to the front desk on my first night, and they gave me a polite smile and said, “We’ll have housekeeping check on it.” Nothing changed. The next morning, same thing — doors open, the smell punches you in the face. By the third day, it was unbearable. I started taking the stairs just to avoid that disgusting odor, and I was on the eighth floor! That’s how bad it was. What makes this situation even worse is that it wasn’t just the smell — the elevators themselves were filthy. The mirrors were smeared with fingerprints, the floor had sticky spots like spilled soda, and the metallic buttons were grimy to the touch. One elevator even had a faint brown stain near the corner that I really don’t want to think too hard about. I saw a cleaning staff member on one of the mornings and politely asked if the elevators were being cleaned regularly. She sighed and said, “We try, but it’s been like this for a while.” That says everything you need to know about the management’s priorities. The rest of the hotel wasn’t much better. My room was okay but had a faint damp smell — probably from the same ventilation system that circulates whatever horror is brewing in those elevators. The hallways felt humid and poorly ventilated, and there was a noticeable lack of maintenance everywhere you looked. What really frustrates me is how easily this problem could be fixed with proper cleaning and upkeep. It’s not like this is an old budget motel on the highway — this is supposed to be an upscale hotel in the middle of the city. But no matter how nice the lobby looks, no guest can overlook the fact that every elevator ride feels like a trip through a garbage chute. In short: if you value your nose, your stomach, or your sanity, avoid this hotel at all costs. There are plenty of other options nearby that actually smell like cleanliness, not decay. I wish I could...

i went to the information before our checkin to ask about the parking...and the girl staff said"viking is not availlable because the restaurant is close yet" that made me laugh! and for them to understand my "parking" i said that we had a reservation to stay in their hotel and so another staff got what im asking for...parking not viking or buffet! we enjoyed the pool...the design...especially the illumination part at night...some differences between dinner and breakfast that i experienced was...we have a toddler who needs a chair..the staff at dinner gave us the color green chair a high chair and not an arm chair..i ask for another and she politely changed it like other toddlers were using and I know it was really busy, lots of customers with kids too but she produced it! during breakfast, still a buffet style, staff were all busy..again another staff gave that green chair for my toddler...again i ask for another...but she said that's the only kind of chair they have! I talked to her not to say that coz i know they have different kinds of chair for the kids. and to my disappointment,i saw some in the tables that customers were left already and some chairs beside the entrance that are availables! maybe she is tired already at 8:30 in the morning? uggghhhh! wrong alibi! i just cant understand! that's a big hotel, needs alot of staffs that will serve customers properly.i know some...

Peaceful and wonderful views of the bay/ocean. Public onsen was very clean and relaxing. Rooms were well kept, had turn down service for the futons. Breakfast/dinner had a large selection of food such as noodles cooked to order, western style foods, and Chinese dishes. Had to pay to use the ping pong room and equipment. There was a kids area, overall rather kid friendly hotel. We were able to utilize the pool after checking out of the hotel. Pool area had a public onsen, water slide, lazy river, indoor and outdoor pool. Be careful ongoing up to the water slide as it is very slick and will result in falls.

The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The bathroom and the toilet were separate which was a plus cos 4 of us stayed in 1 big room. The public onsen had indoor and outdoor baths, the outdoor onsen looked out to the ocean. It's worth visiting just for the view and onsen alone. For the dinner, we visited the restaurant at the 1st floor that served japanese style course meal including sashimi, chankonabe, tempura and fish soup. We ordered the karaoke machine and used it during the whole dinner, that was a plus. The breakfast was a mix of european and japanese and had lovely juices and croissants.

5 min walk to aquarium. Nice rooftop onsen. Food was good ( fresh Abalone), but make sure you order kids meals when you checkin, if not included on your booking as we found out after the fact. So best to ask just to make sure, as you can not order extra food on the spot during dinner for some backwards countryside reason. Hence your kids will need to share your food, but wait they did give us X2 bowls of rice for the 2 kids. Yes this was a real experience, but get through that and its great place. Aquarium is better than san deigo sea world minus the ride.
