On a road trip passing through Koriyama, we were looking for a decent priced hotel that offered free parking and in-room wireless internet. My husband found an ad with a discount for this hotel in a Japanese magazine and we booked one night for 8,000 yen (just under $80 USD). It is located just down the street from the train station. Other perks included free continental breakfasts with a free 24/hr coffee machine in the lobby. The room was about the typical size of Japanese hotel rooms, not so large, but the layout and amenities were well-designed and everything looked new and spotless. The TV had one English channel: CNN. The bed was also quite comfortable and there was a small refrigerator. I'm not sure whether the front desk staff spoke English or not because my husband checked in using Japanese, but the form he filled out with his name, address, etc. was available in both Japanese and English. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating was that I noticed a faint smell of urine in the shower, which is odd since everything else was so clean and Japanese are usually very meticulous about cleanliness. Besides that we were very satisfied with our stay here and will look for branches of Comfort Hotels in other cities we visit...
Read moreso, i want to begin by saying this... i will never stay in a Comfort Inn hotel again! This location was extremely unsanitary and dangerous. the reason i say this is because my wife and I stayed for 2 nights, everything appeared fine.. until the following morming. its natural for comforters to be inside of a cover sheet in hotels and when you awake, it's also natural for the comforters to come out of the sheets due to your movement throughout the night. i woke uo to extreme horror. the comforters I have been snuggling with was covered in blood , completely covered with dried blood.. not my blood, an unknown individual's, someone who could've had a disease or worse HIV. i was sooooooo shicked and horrified that I was unable to sleep for the rest ofnour stay. I was absolutely shocked by this and began to scream. we notified management, who offered us a $40 discount to fix this situation.. we found this to be quite the insult. never again will i stay here or comfort hotels. be very careful when...

However, there are not many restaurants around the east exit. If you want to have a meal, it would be better to eat at the station. The hotel receptionist is polite and the rooms are clean. Wi-Fi is fast and can be used for online meetings. Breakfast is free and you can choose between bread or rice, but there are not many side dishes. You can eat from 6:30 in the morning, but it is very crowded and there is a line waiting for breakfast on the first floor around 7:00 am. The prices are reasonable and the hotel is generally good.. Generally I think it is...
