Had my first ryokan experience here at Hotel Hana no Yu. What an incredible experience. We heard from our guide that this was voted 9th best ryokan in Japan amongst all national travel agencies, and it’s not hard to see why.

Though we didn’t manage to spend enough time here to fully enjoy the facilities, but we managed to spend about 15mins in the natural onsen with a beautiful view of the hills that surround the area. Breakfast was a spread, and staff were very friendly.

The remote location is both an upside and a downside. We heard there was no convenience store in the vicinity, but some of us wandered around and found a 7-11 within walking distance, and there’s a train station nearby so it’s not all that bad.

I am not sure whether I’ll ever be able to have the chance to stay here again, but I look forward to whenever that will...

The Hananoyu has been one of my favorite hot springs resorts in all of Fukushima for sure and maybe even Japan. The baths are amazing, they have so many varieties that you can just go from one bath to the next trying out wooden ones, stone ones, ceramic ones and so on. The meals are excellent whether you choose the buffet style or the traditional Japanese meals. If you have children, definitely choose the buffet, it offers so much more options. The rooms are peaceful, overlooking a beautiful river and the service is top notch. They have karaoke rooms, a full bar, gorgeous gardens and in the summer the kids can go to the pool. Our family of 6 stayed in the combo traditional and western bed room...

Our Japanese host brought us here for a one night stay, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The room was clean and cool, enjoyed the tatami floors and sleeping on futons. We visited both upstairs and downstairs baths. It seemed very clean. The water was plenty hot for me! Enjoyed the view upstairs, and the view into the garden downstairs and the outside air early in the summer morning. The buffet dinner and breakfast was very fresh and tasty. Our party of 4 also enjoyed renting a room for karaoke for an hour after dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have children with us, but saw families headed to the...

It was a smooth and fast check-in. The waiting lounge was nice and next to restaurant with good views of the summer greenery. My room was small but perfect for a solo traveller. It included a massage chair which was fantastic after soaking in the various onsen available. This hotel is well-known for having over 30 pools to soak in although the temperature was quite hot, especially the ones on the 10th floor. The food for both meals was buffet style. It was alright. Overal, I enjoyed my stay here . The staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.

Relax in the view of the abundant nature The popular bathing experience includes 30 different types of baths, including a panoramic bath with a view and an open-air garden bath with different baths. There is also a wide variety of food options, with a creative Japanese course meal that changes monthly, in-room dining, and a buffet that is freshly prepared to make your heart flutter. Enjoy the hot springs, fine food, and delicious sake in the cold season
