Modern hotel, close to the station but still very local so connections aren’t as frequent as in more urban areas.
Staff at the reception are friendly enough but probably below Japanese average. Unfortunately, I was given a room that was not cleaned. Although the issue was fixed and I got a different room right away, I feel this should not happen. The overall impression of the facilities are clean.
Route Inn breakfast is average. Fairly limited choice compared to other businesses hotels like APA.

Read moreStayed 3 nights at Route inn Kyoto maizuru. An obvious landmark from Nishi maizuru station, about 5minute walk. I can even see the station from my room. The hotel has eco friendly program for consecutive nights customers and I was given 3 tokens for vending machine drinks.
Quite a variety for breakfast though not much of fruits. Onsen bath is great and relaxing when back from side trips. Not many food options around but you will still find food. Overall a great experience. Will stay here again if were to visit...
