妙高薫風 — Hotel in Myoko

It's kinda hard for me to rate this hotel. I do love some parts of this hotel but there are still some parts I can't endure. Pros: The hosts are so so so so nice and cute. They tried so hard to make you feel comfortable. Not in a courtesy way, they are so sincere about letting you feel like at home. The meals made by the hosts are super delicious. Yes, super! The meals looked so ordinary but taste so so so good. We had some breakfasts and dinner in this hotel and highly recommend their meals. YOU SHOULD NOTICE: This is a smoking-allowed hotel. Some of the guests will smoke in the public area then the smell passes into the room very seriously. If you don't like the smell of smoking , you should avoid this hotel. The public bath is not that clean but it is acceptable. If you're a neat freak just like me, you should avoid this hotel, too. Other issue in the public bath is that the water pressure is not stable. This is kinda tough for people having shower in the -10 degree C nights. There are no toilet inside the room and no heater in the corridor and public toilets which means it is sooooooooo cold when you go to pee in the midnight. However, in the transitional onsen area in Japan, this is very common. So it's a minor issue but just want to remind...

気持ちよく迎え入れてくれます。 食事も美味しく、 バリエーションも豊富です。 お米もとても美味しいです。 おかわりをものすごく勧めてきます。 つい美味しくて いつもより食べる量が増えると思います。

部屋は可もなく不可もなく、 旅館なので、 このくらいが普通だと思います。 セキュリティはあまりありません。 音もふすま一枚みたいなものなので、 少し騒ぐと筒抜けです。 乾燥室はないので部屋で管理する形です。

お風呂は内湯と野天風呂（露天風呂）です。 内湯と野天風呂はつながっていないので、 着替える必要があります。 内湯は洗い場の数、 広さ的に8人程度が限界です。

野天風呂は、 脱衣所が外にあるので、 かなり寒いです。 温度管理も自然任せなので、 夜になればなるほど温度が下がります。 正直あまり温かくありません。 雰囲気は抜群にいいですが、 野天風呂に入った後に内湯に入らないと、 体が冷えると思います。 脱衣所のバスマットも誰かが使った後だと、 凍ってます。

「食事が良い」の口コミを信じていきました。||あまりの貧相な食事で驚きました。||年末年始だったせいか、値段のわりにお部屋は古く、壁は薄く、外湯はぬるすぎ、内湯は熱すぎ。||女将さんを褒める感想を沢山みましたが、お世辞にも褒められるおもてなしとは思えず。。||||一番悲しかったのは、「雪かき」が朝の１０時頃までなかったことです。||そして、雪かき用のスコップは壊れていました。。||||ドカ雪の時だったのですが、どんなに雪かきしても隣の車が出る度に雪をかけられ、車を実際動かすまでに２時間かかりました。近所の旅館は朝４時頃から雪かきをしているのがわかりましたが、この宿は朝の８時になってやっと応援を頼む連絡をしていたので、実際宿がわの雪かきが始まったのが１０時頃でした。||||ただ、外湯は風情がありました。||あまりにぬるかったので３日間の滞在中、１度しか利用しませんでした。||||毎年、年末年始はスキーを兼ねた旅行をしておりますが、このような経験は初め...
