Yajibe — Hotel in Nanto

We were recommended to stay here by the very helpful Gokayama Tourism information center as all accommodation in Ainokura village were unavailable due to the owners being involved in the Spring Festival.|||| Yajibe also know as Yajibei is family run by a cute couple. The multi course meals are excellent and changed over our two night stay.||||The house is very clean and appears in much better condition than those in Ainokuru village as perhaps not as many people stay in Kaminashi village. It is 20m from the world heritage bus Kaminashi stop and the villages of Ainokuraguchi, Suganuma and are a few ks away and can be visited easily on the bus especially if you have the bus pass, with the tourist filled Shirakawago being 30km from the village on the same bus. ||||The owner met us at the bus stop and speaks little English but has a sheet with translations so everything was good, ...

Absolutely worth a one or two night stay, as it serves as a great base to explore the nearby villages of Ainokura, Kaminachi and Suganoma, with good value for money. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and very comfortable old-style Japanese inn in August 2019. Especially because of our enthusiastic and attentive host we had a wonderful and delicious dinner experience.
