Cave D'Occi Vinespa — Hotel in Niigata

We just stayed there for one night and we loved it so much. The dining experience was perfect. We firstly were led to an underground wine cellar for the starter and welcome drink. Then enjoyed the delicious dinner courses in the dining room. And finally went back to the lobby to take a coffee and sweets, next to the fireplace. The next day breakfast was very refreshing. I loved the bread in various flavours. Last but not least, the hotel provided an excellent service and made us enjoyed so much. There was a snow storm when we came. part onsen ryokan (hot springs inn), part vineyard, this place really is a hidden gem. staff is excellent, food pretty good, and rooms are so clean. outdoor onsen is available throughout the day, but is really beautiful in the evening. the place is pretty small (7-8 rooms?), so it feels intimate but is very modern and clean, so was perfect for someone like me who wanted hotel-amenities in a ryokan setting. ||if you ever find yourself in Niigata, would highly...

I visit this Onsen fairly regulary. It is my favorite. In summer the smell of the vineyards is sweet intocitation. You can see the stars at night as the lights are kept low. The water is alkaline which is a nice change from the sulferic water at most other onsens. The food is good, the atmosphere inviting and the inner courtyard a joy to relax in front of.
