Hotel Uneri — Hotel in Okinoshima

I rented a car at Saigo port and drove about 30-40 minutes to the hotel Uneri, which is right out of the tunnel and the only standing structure for miles. It's near a lovely protected bay, and while I didn't have a view of the ocean from my room, I'm sure you can request one. The staff are very friendly and relaxed, as island people tend to be. The hotel only has about 20 rooms, and 4 rooms were occupied the day I checked in.||||Knowing there were no dining options in the area, I reserved a room with a single bed with breakfast and dinner included, which amounted to about USD150.||||Check in was friendly and smooth. There is no elevator, only a stairwell, and the rooms are all on the 2nd floor. The room carpet was stained in some places, but in general, the condition of the hotel and room was what I expected. It was clean and there was no dust. The room has a desk, TV, refrigerator, and kettle to boil water; also, there is a sink and a brand-spanking new remote-controlled toilet seat! There is no shower in the room. The windows have screens, so a cool summer breeze flowed through the room while the chirping of crickets and other insects put me to sleep.||||The public bath is bright, yet simple. Nothing fancy.||||Meals were pleasant and within my expectations. Dinner featured locally caught fish (sashimi), seaweeds, and "shiro-bai", a type of turban shell caught locally in Shimane Prefecture. It was served raw and breaded and fried with tartar sauce, which I really liked. ||||Breakfast was simple and tasty with grilled fish, hot soup, and all the rice you could eat.||||The hotel is far from the ferry terminal, but I rather enjoyed the drive out to the other side of the island and would stay...

後醍醐天皇のルーツをたどりたくて、||隠岐を旅行した際に、当ホテルを利用させていただきました。||||港から車で３、４０分ほどの場所にあり、空気も美味しく、静かな場所でした。||||隠岐の観光スポットのひとつである福浦トンネルは徒歩圏内で、||散歩するにはぴったりの距離でした。||あとローソク島への船の乗り場も近くにあります。||||ホテルの前に道路があったのですが、||防音対策が万全なのか、車の音も聞こえなかったので、||ぐっすりと眠ることが出来ました。||||夕食の祭料理のコースも、隠岐で取れた魚介類をふんだんに食すことが出来、||大満足でした。||||朝ご飯もボリューム満点で、特に虜になったのが、||「あかもく」という海藻が味噌汁の具に入っていたのですが、||サクサクとした食感が心地よく癖になります。||本来漁の際、網にからまったりと、||邪魔な存在だったことから別名「じゃまもく」とも言われていた||海藻だったそうなのですが||栄養も豊富で成長も速いことから、隠岐の名産にしようという試みがあるようで、||食用として販売されているようです。||私はこの食感にはまってしまい、お土産にたくさん買ってかえり、||自宅でも楽しんでいます。||ホテルを利用される方は朝ご飯のお味噌汁にもぜひ注目してみて下さい♪||「あかもく」はホテルの売店も販売されていました。||||今回の旅行では天気がおもわしくなく、ローソク島がみれなかったので、||是非またリベンジしたいと思います。||そのときはもちろんこのホテル...

80歳、70歳、50代の女子旅で宿泊しました。||到着してもフロントに人がいませんでした。また館内の説明があまり丁寧ではありませんでした。部屋は二階建ての二階で、湾が見えました。移動にはエレベーターがなく、階段の一段が高いので高齢者には負担が大きいです。||||お風呂は朝からも入れると案内がありましたが、次の日の朝に風呂に行くと、湯船に湯がはられていませんでした。||清掃などは行き届いています。||||夕食の鯛のあら煮はとても美味しかったです。||スタッフも気がきく感じでよかったです。||朝食は業務用のものを並べた感じで郷土食は魚の干物だけでした。||||近くの温泉を案内するチラシやポスターがありましたが、割引はないのと、ジャグジーなどは水着着用と書かれていたので行きませんでした。||||ローソク岩遊覧船に乗るためにレンタカーで行く場合は、ここに泊まらまくても、西郷から車で40分弱で行けます。売りにしている、ローソク岩に一番近いはあまりメリットとは思いませんでした。歩いて行くには少し遠いと思います。||海が目の前ですが、入りたいと思うような海ではありませんでした。||||テニスをしたりアウトドアを目的にするならここもありかと思います。||静かなところでのんびりするにはおすすめです。飲み歩いたり町歩きをするなら西郷港周辺の宿...
