This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed here in May 2012 when we cycled the Shimanami Kaido (which was fantastic!). We found it a lovely, friendly little place. Easy to get to, only a few minutes on the ferry from Onomichi station. There is an elementary school across the road from the house, as we walked by children waved out the windows of their classrooms and called 'Hello!How are you!' to us :)Yamaguchi-san was a lovely attentive host and made us a lovely Western breakfast both mornings. We are vegetarians and this was accomodated with no problems. She speaks a bit of English; I speak a bit of Japanese, but even if you didn't speak any I think you would be fine here. We stayed at this B&B in (for us Europeans) a Japanese style home. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to be the only guests, which was helpful with 3 boys.
