I booked a twin room, and the room is rather spacious in comparison to most hotels in downtown Namba or Umeda. This 14-storey hotel is located just 2 subway stops away from Umeda, and within 10 mins walk from JR Shin-Osaka station, highly recommended for those who would be using Shinkansen. We are carrying mid side luggage, and dragging them to Shin Osaka station are rather barrier-free.|The room itself is well-maintained, but the hotel adopted an eco policy which means they would only clean your room every 3 days, however fresh towels would be provided daily. The hotel does not lie along the main road, they may be a little difficult to locate without Google map initially, and is about 5 mins walk from the nearest subway station, Nishinakajima Minamigata. There are a few combini in the vicinity, and a couple of supermarkets some 5 mins walk away, but there are few eateries on this side of the subway, more on the other side though, where one can find plenty restaurants, including fast food.|Our room has standard business hotel amenities that include a 42" Sharp wall-mounted LCD TV, Mitsubishi aircon, mini-fridge, kettle, hairdryer etc. Tea bags (sencha & hojicha) are available at the lobby, while my level also has vending machine and ice machine. And I absolutely love the big bath tub in the room! Coin laundry are available on level 2 & 8 for 300 Yen, no detergent required.|In addition, the hotel is also close to Hankyu Nishinakajima Minamigata station, which provides direct rail access right into Kyoto's heartbeat, Kawaramachi, in about 40 mins.|I personally feel staying here is great because it has good connection to Shinkansen, Kyoto, and that one subway line (Midosuji line) which linked almost all the major shopping districts (Umeda, Namba, Tennoji) in Osaka seamlessly.|All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed...
Read moreWe were absolutely delighted with our stay at Smile Hotel Shin-Osaka! From the very first moments, the service was excellent: the reception staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, greeting us with smiles and giving us all the information we needed about the hotel.
We stayed in a corner room on the 9th floor with a beautiful view of the city — especially stunning in the evening. The rooms, though compact, were very comfortable and perfectly suited for two people with luggage. The beds and pillows were cozy, and each room came with great bathrobes. On every floor there were microwaves and vending machines with drinks, which was very convenient. On the first floor, guests could also enjoy complimentary amenities such as toothbrushes, combs, razors, tea, and coffee — a thoughtful touch.
The hotel always smelled fresh and was impeccably clean. Another big plus is its location: on a quiet street, perfect for rest, yet only 3 minutes from the subway and about 7 minutes from the train station.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Overall, our stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to...
Read moreClose to Shin-Osaka station and Nishinakajima-Minamigata subway. The hotel is on a street, but it doesn't seem super busy. There are grocery stores and local restaurants near by. It seemed mainly quiet. The local restaurants are around the vicinity (not like right next to). There are two floors where there are laundry machines, and that is really convenient. I stayed for 6 days, so there was a change of bedding once and i selected it to be in the middle. Other than that, there is no cleaning but they leave bags of towels outside your door, and extra garbage bags. So you can tie your garbage and leave it outside your door. Seems like a lot of extra plastic bags. At the lobby of the hotel, you can take any toiletries as you need. So it's not placed in your room. The washroom has shampoo, condition and body soap. Although there was no cleaning, I did noticed that every evening, there would be a fresh scent of some sort of fragrance that is smelling like...
