The strange smell in the rooms comes from outside, I think from the ventilation system outside the building. Anyway even with windows closed the smell can enter and even if I putted encens it still stank. However it was not always present, only at the beginning. Sometimes it stopped. It smelled cigarets in the corridor and sometimes the smell could come inside the room probably when someone passed by smoking. Otherwise the room is great, good location and the prices are low I think bc of the smell situation. One person of the staff spoke english which was nice. The staff were very helpful in providing information on local bars and restaurants, and we chose a restaurant nearby which served the best fried chicken I have ever had, very cheap as well. There is no breakfast at this hotel, so we made do with cup noodles and coffee from the vending machine in the lobby. 10am checkout time. It was value for money. Of cos there are cheaper and pricier alternatives. But there is the JR Iyo Mishima train station located less than 5 min away, and on the end of the street, bus services as well. For the ones driving, the hotel has approximately 12 parking lots available for ¥500 a night. Fuji Mishima supermarket is a superbly huge convenience located 3-4min walk away.
