Thank you for having us! We really want to come again soon!!! ❤️
This place is a MUST if you are doing the Suzuka Amusement Park beside it. You get discounted park tickets, a special gate entrance just for hotel guests, and if you need it, a shuttle bus (on demand) will take you to the park. But fyi, the park is literally a 2 min walk from hotel front entrance.
Also a must: book their dinner and breakfast buffets!!!
We were a bit skeptical due to the price but unless you are willing to taxi out of the hotel, there are no food options nearby by walking nor transit. In the end, totally worth it! No way would we be able to get this standard of food back home in Canada for that price, for a buffet!
We booked a 7:30pm-10pm dinner and a 7:00am-10am breakfast. Good thing too because after a day of fun in the sun, my 3yr old passed out from 5-7pm lol. Note, be punctual for the buffets!!! They cut off food service 15min before the end of the period. Eg 9:45pm, they start cleaning up and you can't get anymore food but you can finish eating. Staff will warn you when seated at the table (printout in multiple languages).
You have a wide variety of food (Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Western) with something for everyone of all ages. For example: there was pizza, a fresh ramen station, dumplings, butter chicken, a chef made me risotto using parm cheese from an actual huge wheel and carved steak slices, and baby food jars or baby solid packages for the little ones! Lets not forget the unlimited self-serve soft drinks, coffee, tea, and juice.
My favourites were their little pudding cups that have a layer of congealed sugar syrup (?) on top and their slowly braised Japanese curry on rice.
The room: omg. Spacious and we only booked the "Main Superior Room". 2 giant beds, a giant couch, a long ledge that acts as a table for all your stuff, a bidet toilet seperate from the shower room and they even thoughtfully got my son a kiddie toothbrush, a cup, and kid slippers! They even had face cleanser, toner, and lotion! Room was located in the "main" building.
The onsen: so it's NOT connected to the main building or other residences. Which is fine because it's like 1 min from the main building back entrance. The instructions say you can walk there in your room robes and room slippers (which i did) but don't worry, they have lockers for your clothes. Hotel guests dont need to make reservations and its open very early and very late, so take advantage of this!
You need the room key pass to get in! Don't forget it
So you walk into the building, use room key for entry, and lock your shoes up in a shoe locker. Take that key and proceed to women or men doorway.
Get naked and store your clothes and your shoe locker key. Remove this new locker key that has a wrist chain.
Proceed to bathe yourself at the little stations. They have shampoo, conditioner, body soap, etc. Must be clean before going into the onsen pools.
Then immerse yourself into two pools. One that is steamy hot like 40C and the other which is a warm 37C.
Exit the pools, do another rinse, grab a towel inside change room on a shelf. You can blowdry your hair and apply face/skin care lotions at a mirror.
Now you can take your kids in with you. I saw child chairs and baby seats in the change room. They have the rules in your hotel welcome package but from what I rmb, kid of any gender can go with either parent but if they are 7+, they MUST go with same-gendered parent. So a 7 year old boy cannot go with mom.
Since i went around 9:30pm, it was just like 3 other adult females and no kids 😎.
Saddest part was checking out. We regret not booking at least 2 nights!!! Alas, staff were so wonderful that they even called us a taxi to Shiroko station and we went back to Nagoya stn so we could bullet train back to Tokyo.
Thank you again Suzuka...
Read moreThis is the first time in a hotel that is totally kids friendly. The rooms are big by japanese standard. The bed is tatami style (preventing children to have injuries if they were to fall off the bed), but not full tatami but close to the ground enough. Upon entering your room, you will have a space by the door for a stroller, it has a low stool in the bathroom for your children to stand on while they brush their teeth. A toilet seat for children, kids soap is also provided. Even the how water pipe/plumbing in the tub is covered with a special plastic so that your children will not scald their hands. Pajamas for children is provided and so is a steriliser and a thong. Even some of the clothes hangers and the mugs in the rooms were for children. It was amazing. You have a huge ground for the children to run around, books for the children to read while waiting, and not to mention the kids park (you have to pay for entrance fee and the games themselves) that is located adjacent to the hotel ground. Food is available in abundance, if you go to their buffet area, they also cater for baby food (3,5,9 months) Laundry service is available but you can wash your own clothes in another building. You can either take a walk there or take their shuttle bus. A...
Read moreStayed in a family room in the West wing and it was perfect for what we needed. These rooms are child oriented but we booked it for the larger size. Futon style beds but SO comfortable for everyone. Including my husband who is fussy about beds. ||We were at the track all day and this was an easy 10min walk. You walk through the theme park to get to the track so it’s ideal with kids or bored wives 😂. Hotel room card gets you a discount on their day pass. Take your passport as well. ||The restaurants are good. Buffet breakfast has a huge variety and is open a while. You get assigned times but we didn’t managed to stick to that and they weren’t worried. The restaurant upstairs is more mid-fine dining. Beautiful food and great staff/chefs. Everyone is so friendly. ||If you are in Suzuka with family for a race just book here as you have the track, waterpark etc and also head to Aon mall. Easily kill a few hours checking out the shops. Muji, Zara, H&M through to loads of great Japanese stores. The restaurants on ground floor are great too. The best Gyoza...
