I’m staying here for about two weeks for a work situation, and while the one-bed (double bed) room size is quite small (especially with my suitcases out), I appreciate they try to make it more cosy. The appliances provided include a TV (with very limited channels), hair dryer, mini fridge, water boiler, air purifier, and AC unit. I also like that they provide some clothes hangers and a robe (yukata) and slippers.
Also, my company has an agreement with the hotel where our rooms are cleaned every other day, since we’re staying here for about two weeks. I appreciate this but also question the true need to have a room cleaned so often (considering environmental impacts), especially when it’s not very dirty in the first place.
There is also a washer and dryer on the 3rd and 7th floors. Detergent is included in the wash (small load for a wash + dry is 400 yen). There is also a microwave in the laundry room, and free coffee in the lobby.
The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is that there are smoking and non-smoking rooms. When I first walked into my room, it smelled like smoke, probably from the previous tenant. I sprayed the entire room with the provided air freshener, which helped a lot, but people can still smoke in the...
Read moreI ended up in Takatsuki city because everything in the Kyoto/Osaka area was booked out. Takatsuki is in the middle about 25 minutes to either Kyoto or Osaka. That made an easy trip, and an easy escape from the insanity of Kyoto station or Osaka city in peak season. The hotel is a business hotel, but a little better than many I've stayed in. At 7000 yen a night for a single it's a deal. Near the hotel are plenty of restaurants and Oxo, a large British-style sports pub. At about 2 blocks from Hankyu Takatsuki station and ten minutes walk from JR Takatsuki station it's an easy walk to the hotel. In a bind, or low on cash, I'd stay here again. Read moreI was here for business and stayed at this hotel for 12 days straight. ||||The receptionists are helpful and kind. They also serve free tea and coffee at the lobby.||||The room is good enough. Just enough space for yourself. It gets cleaned every other day so that means fresh towels and robe. There is free internet in the room (wired connection).||||It is conveniently located near the JR train station (10min walk) and especially to the Hankyu line which is only a 3 min walk! The hotel is also near a supermarket so instead of eating out all the time, you can buy some cheap food at the supermarket. ||||Overall, I will stay again at this hotel if I am ever at...
