Hotel Resort Saikatei — Hotel in Toba

We had an amazing 2 nights at the start of our 3 week trip. The view from the top floor suite was stunning, I imagine we would never tire of watching the sunrise and the fishing boats go between all the islands. The in room food was a cook your own sukiyaki on the first night and shabu shanu on night 2 - all ingredients were high quality and very fresh. So nice to eat when we wanted and relax in the room. Breakfast was delivered to the room, fruit, soup and fresh pastries, all delicious. The private bath was lovely, as was our bath and shower room with again a view to die for. Last but not least a special thanks go to the staff: friendly, professional service from an absolutely delightful man who couldn’t do enough for us. 5 stars, would wholeheartedly recommend a stay...

Brilliant Ryokan with fantastic views overlooking Toba City. Traditional tatami mat floor rooms with ensuite shower and bathroom, separate toilet and large cupboard for baggage. Futon sleeping arrangements and small table in room. Friendly staff although not much English spoken.

Accessible by public transport (bus) during daylight hours and features a shuttle bus to/from Toba City train station however after hours access is limited to car, taxi or (as we did) walking!

宿泊体験の参考情報： ⚠️乳幼児宿泊制限に関する注意点

Agodaを通じてこちらのホテルを予約しましたが、プラットフォーム上には「乳幼児は宿泊不可」といった明確な記載がなく、予約時にも「乳児同伴」を選択して問題なく予約が完了しました。

ところが、当日夕方にチェックインのため現地へ到着した際、ホテル側から突然「乳幼児の宿泊はお断りしております」と告げられ、予約をキャンセルするよう求められました。 事前に電話やメールでの連絡は一切なく、到着後に初めて知らされる形となり、乳児を連れて急遽別の宿泊先を探さざるを得ませんでした。旅程にも大きな影響が出てしまいました。

問題点

1️⃣ ホテル公式サイトには「乳幼児不可」の記載があるものの、Agoda側にはその情報が反映されていませんでした。 2️⃣ ホテル側は宿泊者への事前告知を怠り、「乳児同伴でも宿泊可能」と誤解させる状況を招いています。 3️⃣ 通知のタイミングが非常に遅く、現地到着後に宿泊を拒否されたため、実際の損害と大きな不便が生じました。

この件は、ホテル側の情報管理および宿泊対応の不備によるものと感じます。 乳幼児連れで宿泊を検討されている方は、予約前にホテルへ直接ポリシーを確認されることを強くおすすめします。

⚠️ 嬰幼兒入住要注意！

我是在 Agoda 上訂的這家飯店，平台上完全沒有寫「嬰兒不能入住」，而且訂房時也能選「攜帶嬰兒」選項，一切都能順利完成。

結果當天傍晚入住時才被飯店告知：「不好意思，我們不接待嬰幼兒」，還要求我取消訂房。 飯店之前完全沒有電話或 Email 通知，也沒在入住前確認，導致我臨時帶著嬰兒在外面重新奔波，整個行程直接被打亂，超級不方便。
