Hotel Route-Inn Tsuruga Ekimae — Hotel in Tsuruga

Rooms are so smelly, could not sleep at all. ||I booked a single smoking-room, since that is all they had on the booking site. ||When I arrived, the room was so smelly, it was terrible. ||I ask if they can change the room to a non-smoking one. ||They have asked an extra $25 because that room had 2 beds. ||I can only sleep on one bed and no one is going to book a room at 22:00||A nice hotel does not charge you for changing the room to a non-smoking one, if it is available. ||Route Inn is a chain I try to stay away from as much as I can. I regarded them as one of the worst hotels chain in Japan. Very rarely I stay in one of their hotels, only when I have no choice and nothing ells can be found around, like this time. ||Hopefully, will not have to stay in one of...

Skimpy on towels but will give you more if asked. Towels are thin...but ok. Rooms are small but comfortable. Window can be cracked to let fresh air in. Front staff nice but not good in English....but no problems. Breakfast is Japanese so westerners will most likely not eat it....can get donuts from the department store at end of street. Pillows have the charcoal in them but OK if your not too fussy. Bed is hard..very hard. Modular bath as seen in many small Japanese hotels. Refrigerator in room. Very quite. Internet good. No reason not...

当日の夕方、今夜の宿を探す事にして、某ホテル予約サイトで“禁煙”の条件で検索してトップ画面に出て来たこのホテルが最安値だったので、空き部屋が無くならないうちにと思いすぐに手配した。その足ですぐにチェックインしたが、通された別館の部屋に入ると古びた臭いがしたが、まさか喫煙室だとは思わず、「古いのでこんな臭いがするのか？」とがっかりしていた。（部屋で２時間後に予約サイトの予約履歴を見て、ここが喫煙室である事が判明）

「当日予約ながら、最終の部屋の詳細をもう一度チェックしない自分も悪いは勿論だが、“禁煙”で検索して最安値の“喫煙室”がトップページに出るのはおかしい」と某予約サイトにクレーム入れた。 喫煙の部屋は嫌なので、なんとかならないかフロントに尋ねてみると「お部屋のベッドに横になって過ごされ、時間が経ってから部屋を変えて欲しい…というのは出来かねる」と回答された。私は「まさか喫煙室とは思わなかったからすぐに言えなかったし我慢していた。もしチェックイン時に“喫煙室を用意している”と言われたら、その場で間違えたので替えて欲しいと言っていた。鍵を渡す際に、部屋のタイプを、なぜ伝えなかったのか？」とクレームを入れた。 そこについては、謝罪された。 喫煙室では寝られないと伝え、結果部屋を替えてもらえたが、同額の禁煙室が満室なので、カードキーが故障していて販売してない部屋だが、追加金額...
