Awesome ski resort especially for quick day trips from Tokyo. High elevation results in some of the best snow conditions in the Yuzawa area though strong winds often prevent the ropeway from operating.

There is also gated terrain access at the top for avid Backcountry riders.

Non advanced riders should stay on piste especially during heavy snow days, we've seen too many...

Love this ski area despite the overly complicated backcountry access and super early closing of the top lift (12 noon 🤣). 50th anniversary this year, which they are celebrating by closing from 18th Jan to early Feb 😔. The reason is a COVID outbreak at the big hotel in neighbouring Naeba resort - I think there were other ways to handle...
