Lancaster Hotel Apartments — Hotel in Amman

We came from Australia to Amman Dec. 2023, and we choose to stay at this hotel because the location is good, and it looks secure, elegant and good price.. we stay for 16 days.. from day one we found out that the water temperature go from very hot to very cold in seconds, the stuff was friendly and they tried to find a solution, but there was no hope to change the room because as they said the hotel was full at that time, aircon. Was not working properly as well, but they fixed it at the end of the day.. couch was not comfortable at all but the rest things was excellent.. anyway they couldn't fix the water temperature all the days that we have been stay there, and it was impossible to us to change the hotel!! Another thing when we booked the room it was non smoking hotel, but honestly I can smell the segarets in my bedroom and in the towels too and it was so strong!! Another thing you can easily see the thick dust on the bedroom floor and cabinets, walls corner specialy near the bed, doors was extremely durty...they never cleaned it during our accommodation! Last but not least the lady who was working as a receptionist in the morning sheft was very rude with my wife.. and several times we ask her to let the cleaning stuff to clean out room, take the garbage, change the towels she ignored our request!

Anyway .. we are planning to visit amman next year for 4 weeks, but definitely will never go back...

The hotel has two location, my experience was at the Wasfi Tal st. I booked my staying at the location, and my GPS took me to this location. When arrived, the receptionist informed me that I can either go to the other location or for extra 2JD per night, I could stay there. I asked to see the rooms and did. So for the sake being tired after a long flight with a group, I decided to take the extra charges and for the rooms. The service was so bad, half of rhe group left the second day. On the second day, I started to see the filthy tiles, bad floors, no house keeping, bad AC, very old towels and list goes on. Since we were out most of the day, I didn't realize that the AC was not weak but was NOT WORKING. When called front desk, Housekeeping came on with the worst attitude holding me responsible for not calling it earlier. So I asked to leave the room and called front desk, they offered to change rooms, yet housekeeping wouldn't even help in moving my luggage. I decided to leave the next day, ironically when checking out, another client was complaining of the same issue, sanitation and very bad customer service. We booked for 20 days in the Lancaster Gardens while in Amman from the U.S.- and it was a truly tremendous stay. The staff was INCREDIBLE- from reception to housekeeping: we could not have asked for a better stay. They were so wonderful with everything from transportation, facilitating our daughter’s zaffeh from their location, and accommodating all our needs. You ask and they help make it happen!

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The AC was great and hot water was plentiful. Location extremely convenient: tucked away from the main road so very quiet but very close walking distance to the street that you can access anything in minutes.
