For the past 10 years I have always brought my family and friends here to stay and sometimes I will stay here when there is a wedding or family gathering in Amman. My brother and uncle even stayed here for their wedding nights, all because of my recommendations. Those days are over. The rooms are very old and smell bad, the hotel did a poor job at keeping up with renovations. I did feel safe at all at this hotel anymore. With this new staff, I get anything but respect. Where i used to be treated as a guest and treated with the utmost respect, now i get treated as if I am a criminal. At one point I was scared for my life as I am walking through the lobby, a man who I believed to be a homeless man started shouting at me, I ignored him hurrying to the elevator for my safety, he caught up to me a refused to let me go up the elevator and continued shouting at me, as the horrible smelling breath was coming out of his mouth, i struggled to begin to explain that I am a guest, and I was late for a wedding and i needed to just go up to get my relative, who was also staying at the hotel, since he was not answering the phone. He still refused, and called back up security. I was livid (very angry) and disturbed. Not to mention very offended. I often travel to Amman from the United States and often stay in a hotel if there are too many relatives at my house and i often USED TO stay at this hotel Larsa... also I always bring relatives and guests to Larsa to stay... for the past 10 years.... NO MORE. STAY...
Read moreI was very happy at this 3 Star hotel. Very friendly staff all around. Hotel is on good shape and they have 24 hour room service. The restaurant is open until 2 am. Breakfast was included in my USD 55 a night rate. This hotel is all I need. I love that they pay attention to detail and make you feel welcome and good. Breakfast was healthy and plenty. They even bake their own bread for each table for breakfast. A very tasty touch. Just about all the national soccer teams from surrounding countries stay here and the place even won BEST 3 STAR HOTEL IN JORDAN a few years ago. This is not a 5 star place but it is a good value for a 3 star hotel. I will stay here again! The hotel is not new, not flashy, the indoor dining area is a bit bland, the outdoor could use a bit more love. But I liked the attitude of the staff the most as well as the details you sometimes only find at 5 star places. Overall a solid product if you want: Clean, friendly, safe, solid....
Read moreHotel needs a renovation, bathrooms were very old. It is a reasonable hotel for one night, Staff is very friendly, breakfast reasonable, diner very good. Location good. However rooms at the front has problems with the noice of the traffic and the moskee (we did not, but a lot of people in our group). We were with a group travel, first we had a room at the first floor in the back, terrible noice because of the generator, than we received a room at the side at the third floor (very quiet), good and big room. Second time we received again a room at the first floor at the other side, however also with a lot of noice of the generator. Then we received a room at the front at the third floor. As mentioned we did not have problems with the traffic and the moskee, however the room was small and need a...
