I had a very bad experience at this hostel. I booked a night in a male dorm room, but when I arrived, they told me I had to stay in a mixed dorm. I agreed to that without any issue.
However, at 3 AM, they woke me up and asked me to leave my bed and sleep outside on a couch because a new guest had arrived with his wife, and she couldn’t sleep in a mixed room for religious reasons. They treated me as if my comfort and booking didn’t matter at all.
Even though they refunded my money and offered the couch, I refused — this is not how guests should be treated. I was planning to drive to Amman the next morning, and they showed zero consideration or professionalism.
No one should ever be woken up at 3 AM and kicked out of their bed for another guest. I do not recommend this hostel at all.
*The owner replied to my review!
Your reply is full of lies, and I’m shocked by the serious and false accusation you made against me. If I had actually harassed someone, as you claim, you would have called the police — not asked me to leave and still taken my money. That alone proves your story isn’t true.
I see now that you only smile for people because of money, not because you respect them. At first, I felt bad writing a negative review, but after seeing how you responded, I’m honestly glad I did. People should know who they’re dealing with.
Lying about something this serious is not just unprofessional — it’s dangerous. If someone can lie like this, they can...
Read moreSpent 3 nights at Pizza Street hostel and had an amazing time. The hostel is neat and clean and has all the facilities required. There's a fridge, kettle, microwave and a functioning kitchen that can be used. There's a place to dry your clothes in case you're washing them yourself. The location of the hostel is unbeatable. There's a falafel outlet downstairs and a plethora of food options to the either side of the hostel. Also, the major diving center offices are just 200-300 metres away. (Easy to enquire)
And then coming to the important aspect of what made my stay even more amazing - the hostel owner Mr. Sabri - a gentle and sweet person who makes you feel at home. He makes great tea in the morning and in the evening for the inmates for free. He also has great contact with the diving centres and will make sure you have an amazing experience. I'm usually a person who researches many times before spending money and choosing a particular company for experience. But with Mr. Sabri, I could let him take care of the whole stuff and he makes sure everything is in place.
Pizza Street hostel and Mr.Sabri would be the best memories i take back from...
Read moreHostel was friendly and Sabri, the owner was very helpful. He offered a taxi service that is a slightly higher price than you can negotiate on the street and is happy to arrange trips to Wadi Rum with a company he is affiliated with. We felt we got a better deal at an excellent camp by booking it ourselves.
The hostel was pretty clean and I liked that there were actually sheets on the bed. However, I don't think the light switches or other touchable surfaces had ever been cleaned as they were surrounded with black marks.
There was a male and female dorm. There is one toilet/shower bathroom for 8 beds, so it was very common to have to wait for a chance for your turn. For some reason one of the men from the male dorm would stroll through the reception area every day dressed in only a towell or his underwear to use the shower in the bathroom used by the female dorms. Not only did this make the bathroom line ups longer, I felt we should not have half dressed men wandering through the female dorm area.
There were lockers in the dorms. They provide the keys and you can not...
