We stayed here as part of a Jordan road trip we did as a family. We rented a car, so we stayed here for a night so that we could visit Jerash first thing in the morning instead of making it a day trip from Amman (I wanted to a avoid driving there if possible). The location is super convenient and parking easy - just pull in front of the hotel. We were less than a five minute walk from the site entrance. At 8am we had the site almost to ourselves - most crowds don't show up until 10. Our rooms (the family suite) were super clean and comfortable - the beds were extremely comfy, and the AC worked great. Breakfast was also excellent. What really stood out though was our host, Ismail. He was extremely helpful the entire stay, and went above and beyond what I expected. When we arrived, our daughter was feeling quite sick. He directed me to a pharmacy (just a few stores down), offered to take us to a hospital if needed, and even said we could wake him in the middle of the night if we needed to go to a doctor later, and he would help us with everything. We also would have needed to fully check out by 10am the next day, but he offered to let us stay another night for free if our daughter still was not well. Luckily we didn't need to take advantage of that but the offer was absolutely sincere. Ismail was so generous and kind, above what anyone would expect. For anyone staying in Jerash (do it!), stay here and you won't be disappointed. My daughter says she gives...
Read moreWe only had a very brief time in Jerash and after a short WhatsApp exchange we reserved our room for the following night (this is a popular place with only five rooms I think, so don't leave it to chance, book in advance - we were lucky).||||The communal area is nice and relaxing - there is a kitchen to prepare tea and food. We went to the nearby Lebanese restaurant which was very popular and fancy but it's possible to get some very nice food on a budget here.||||The next morning our host prepared a tray of breakfast for each of us. We checked out before visiting the ruins for a few hours and he told us we could come back afterwards to have a cup of tea. We took him up on the offer and he made a lovely cup of tea with sage and gave us a bottle of water each. He's very kind and friendly.||||If you are visiting Jerash for the ruins, then I don't think you can get a better location or host. The entrance is a few minutes walk across the road.||||The room was very clean and includes air con, bed-side lamps...
Read moreThe hotel is small and basic but just what we needed for a one-night stay in Jerash. We stayed in the rooftop room with amazing views of the old city. The hotel cannot be more conveniently located, a 2 minute walk from the entrance to the ruins, and a short walk from (the admittedly limited number of) restaurants. It seems that most tourists visit for the day, but it is worth staying the night, not least to get to the ruins first thing while it is still empty (very special) before the hoard of tourists arrive mid-morning! Also for an interesting evening meal the night before. We were there in late December during a sudden incredibly cold snap so could not enjoy the various private outdoor seating areas, however Ismael was a very welcoming host and made us feel very much at home, keen to ensure we had...
