Petra Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Maan

Patricia helped us from the first contact. So, fellow traveler, before you do something stupid, ask. Already a local, but with an understanding of western awkwardness, she will guide you in what you want to do, in such a way that it ends well. If you need good advice for your trip inside Petra or how to spend your time in Wadi Musa or where to eat something good, remember that you pay for the room, but at the same time you also have for free an experienced advisor.||The parking is inside the property, it can host three cars. The drive up the house is quite steep so don't panic, drive slowly and firmly when entering the gate. The room was spacious with good beds and the bathroom with hot water all the time. All perfectly clean. Breakfast is served on the upper terrace, inside the kitchen, with dishes in the predominantly feminine version (sweet and aromatic). A tranquil place and extremely comfortable bed which is perfect after a days walking and climbing in Petra. ||The B&B is exceptionally clean, spacious room and bathroom with excellent shower (one of the only ones in Jordan that did NOT clog and leak water throughout the bathroom floor). Cosy seating areas with water, various teas and coffee available whenever you desired, and a fridge. |The rooftop is the best place to sit in the evening and just admire the view.||Patricia the host is an amazing person, lovely to chat with and provides useful information. She also speaks a few languages which helps. ||Through her I was also given a very reliable driver, Hamza who assisted me throughout Jordan. It's a few minutes drive to Petra from the B&B. I didn't rent a car but Patricia and Hamza assisted. Well worth it to break away from the bustling crowds and cars. Zum Besuch von Petra und auf Empfehlung der Familie zwei Tage hier verbracht. Ansich sind wir nicht die Bed&Breakfast-Typen, aber... Die Kommunikation mit Patricia, Inhaberin und Gastgeberin, vorab verlief perfekt (Englisch). Es gab direkt viele wertvolle Tipps für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt und einen "runden" Besuch Petras. Das setzte sich beim herzlichen und offenen Empfang durch Patricia bei Ankunft fort. |Das Frühstück wird von Patricia selbst zubereitet und serviert. Es gab alles, was man stärkend für einen Tag in Petra braucht und noch viel mehr. Auch hier ist Patricia jederzeit für alle möglichen Fragen und Hinweise ansprechbar. Sehr wertvoll, wenn man wenig Zeit mitbringt und das Beste daraus machen möchte. Auch ihre Restauranttipps für Wadi Musa haben uns sehr gefallen.|Wer mag, kann übrigens vor Ort direkt einen Ausritt bei Patricia buchen. Patricia hat direkt drei Pferde am Haus...|Das Zimmer ist funktional eingerichtet, mit eigenem Bad. Wir hatten wetterbedingt etwas Pech. Es war trotz Mitte März noch winterkalt. Es schneite sogar an einem Tag... Daher waren das Zimmer und Bad entsprechend kühl. Der Heizlüfter, den Patricia zur Verfügung stellte, lief auf Hochtouren und war mindestens im Bad sehr willkommen.|Auch zu den anderen Gästen bekommt man, wenn gewünscht, aufgrund offener Gemeinschaftsbereiche oder beim gemeinsamen Frühstück schnell Kontakt.|Alles in allem ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Wer seine Jordanienreise, wie wir, in Petra startet, hat hier eine sehr gute Möglichkeit, viele hilfreiche Hinweise zu Petra aber auch allem anderen, was man zu Jordanien wissen muss, zu bekommen. |Es war übrigens unser zweiter Anlauf, nach Petra und zu Patricia zu kommen. 2020 machte uns Corona einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Auch hier ist erwähnenswert, dass Patricia damals flexibler und verständnisvoller als viele andere Hotels, auf der damals geplanten Reise, reagierte. Wie gesagt, eine perfekte...
