We were in this Guest House for a night only and it was included to the tour package that we have availed. It was a nice experience because you get to know a bit of their culture. The place is owned by an elderly couple and their daughter was the one who can communicate with us in English. I loved the food they served us and the bed and comforter was amazing. We had the pleasure of staying at Algados Guesthouse in Almaty, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!
Our double bedroom with a private bathroom was basic, but clean and simple.

Read moreThis place offers you all the basic things. For cleanliness I would give 4.5, for location 5. The only reason why I have given an overall 4 is that the rooms on the first level do not have toilets and bathrooms, one has to go all the way to the ground floor. Moreover this place has common bathroom and toilets. Basic things like bodywash and shampoo were not provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and the guesthouse was well heated. The host are an elderly couple, extremely sweet and hospitable people. We saw a well layed dinner table and everything was cooked by the host. If you want to understand the local culture, this place is like home stay, you must try out once. But please do not compare it...
